Truly amazing high-quality sushi & sashimi. Prices near high-end, but the quality out shines 99% of the hipster beachy marginal quality sushi joints in South Bay. Well worth the money! Try the Toro w Uni or Premium Sashimi. Even the Uni Pasta Rocks the house!!! Be sure to make a reservation on weekends.
This place has great service and yummy tasting uni pasta. We also take advantage of the happy hour menu with the appetizers.
Decent uni, annnnd oyster!
Cream Uni is sooo good!
海鲜井 is also delicious
The fried oyster is rich!
A must-visit for uni lovers! Every dish was delicious and service was excellent. The uni donburi was my favorite, and all of the sushi was fresh and expertly prepared. They also have great HH deals. Also convenient free parking in the garage
Miyabi Uni – A Decent Uni-Themed Japanese Restaurant in Torrance
Located in Torrance, Miyabi Uni is a Japanese restaurant that stands out with its sea urchin-themed decor, including several sea urchin models on the wall that emphasize its specialty—uni. The menu offers multiple uni options, from appetizers to main dishes, with choices between local uni and Santa Barbara uni.
We started with the Miyabi Oyster, which came topped with uni and caviar—a fresh, flavorful bite that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. The House Uni Donburi was a generous bowl of rice topped with uni, seaweed, and vegetables. However, it also included lemon slices and chopped wasabi, which might be worth picking out some before mixing the bowl if you prefer a more traditional uni experience.
Additionally, we tried the Uni Aglio e Olio Pasta, a combination of pasta, uni, and fried garlic slices. Unfortunately, it was too oily, and the flavors of the pasta and uni felt disconnected, making it less enjoyable compared to other dishes.
The staff here are friendly, and the chef even personally checked in on our dining experience, which was a nice touch. However, only indoor dining is available, meaning it’s not a dog-friendly restaurant. If you're an uni lover, it’s worth checking out—just be mindful of your dish selection!
Amazing food, Amazing place, along with great customer service from the staff..
Amazing dinner and service. Definitely will be back soon.
Everything was amazing!
Uni/sea urchin specialized restaurant. So if you love uni, this is the go to place! And yes order everything anything with uni on it. There was one other restaurant in Gardena but they closed which I'm ok with because this one is the better priced, more generous portion, and more creative dishes. The most creative dish for me is the Uni Garlic Capane because you have the crispy texture of the toast that juxtaposition the soft melty texture of the uni with the savory taste complementing the oil they used and then topping it off with the crunchy fried garlic that brings out the uni taste even more. I love Japanese omelet. But lots of places have the consistency off making it too runny or they overcook the eggs. So imagine this place cooking the best Japanese omelet eggs and adding the perfect portion of creamy uni inside. It's like eating a delicious dream. Go get your uni! Oh and the desserts. The perfectly not too sweet but so balanced savory Japanese desserts like the ones in Tokyo. You must get the uni miso soup of course cause where else can you have uni miso soup?
Restaurantji Recommends
Miyabi Uni is a Japanese restaurant in the Torrance area best known for serving fresh sea urchin (aka “uni”) dishes. Servers are not the friendliest type, but they are not hostile either. Set lunch is of good quality. Highly recommend the super fresh Kumiai Oysters from Baja California, and the sea urchin pastas “Uni Aglio e Olio” and “Miyabi Uni Original”.

Kumamoto and Kusshi oysters were amazing. Definitely started with dozen orders of them, raw and fresh. The donburi bowls are decent value. Got the large Miyabi Kaisen and ate to our hearts content. We were not as impressed by the uni but heard so much about the uni pasta so got it for the table to share. The prices for the donburi is worth it and their nigiris was decently good, meaning doesn't wow you but the quality is fresh and they know how to make the sushi rice (a lot of places do not get the rice right and the air ratio right especially in nigiris). The rolls were basic. Definitely will come back for fresh oysters and the donburis.
The atmosphere was okay. Don't know if they are in a middle of a revamp. Definitely should look into utilizing space better, especially around the sushi bar and the bar area.
The service was okay. There seems to be some anxiousness and confusions between the servers, but they were nice. We knew what we wanted, so don't know how knowledgeable the servers are on the menu.
All in all, it was an enjoyable neighborhood experience.

This is the worst resturant in terms of service wise. The food was so later than other table eve i came ealier than others. The mgr said we did our best. I don't know the mgr's mindset toward the service quality. I highly recommend not to go this place.
