Likely the best croquettes you can get in the US! Red Rock Express is a quick and easy option in the plaza that used to house the old Mitsuwa in Torrance off Carson. Their spot is small but clean and not usually busy with plentiful of parking. My go to is their meat and potato original croquette but they've got 5 different flavors now ranging from curry to cream! They even have a 5 pack for you to try one of every flavor but personally, my preferred flavor is just their original. My husband really loves their beef don. It's a hearty and heavy meal but the quality of their beef it absolute creme de la creme! Their egg on top when you mix it gives everything such a velvety smooth bite. I'd love to try to omurice next time as it's not common at a lot of restaurants out here.

A small Japanese restaurant located in the plaza where the old Mitsuwa used to be. Barely any seating inside so this place is mostly for takeout . The meat quality is great and the service is good but I made a mistake of ordering through yelps Grubhub online option. It was unreasonably way more expensive than the actual restaurant . Don't order from Grubhub . 30% markup.

i've been going to their other location in gardena over the years, and it's always been my go-to place to hit my beef bowl craving. perfectly cooked medium rare beef combined with a balanced sauce with sweet, savory, and creamy notes. I like to get the #1 roast beef bowl with with a raw egg on top. this newest location has the same great quality and taste, but in a smaller format intended more for grab and go (they do have some stalls and small tables both inside and outside that you can sit at, but that is definitely not the focus). if you like japanese beef bowls, i would recommend you try red rock (either location).

So good, I don't even have any pics because we ate it so fast. My husband got the #1 roast beef don and I got the #2 cut steak don. I liked both but preferred my husbands because of the sauce that comes with it. He also got the cheese to put on top and that was clutch. I also got my steak medium when I think I should've gotten it medium rare. The meat quality was clearly really good and the rice was perfect. We also got a beef croquette which was yummy but a little onion-y. They have some seating inside and outside if you don't want it to go. I'm excited to go back!

Their meats are soooo good with the yogurt sauce! Lately it's super over priced though :'( 3 stars only bc of the pricing.

This place is delicious! We had the omu-rice with beef/potato croquette and chicken nanban don.The omu-rice was amazing and decadent. The ultimate comfort food. I loved the rich but not too heavy demi glace sauce paired with the tomato ketchup rice that gave it a hint of acidity and brightness. The chicken nanban don was phenomenal. The chicken was fried to perfection and one of the juiciest chickens I've ever had.

Food is delicious and really good quality. It seems pricey but for the amount of food you get and the quality, is pretty fair. Definitely worth a try. There's a couple of small places u can sit to eat there. But very limited space over all.

Japanese style steak restaurant. It is pretty small and I don't recommend going here if you have more than 4 people in your party. Limited indoor seating and 2 outdoor tables. This location is a Togo version of the original red rock in Gardena. Food was quick and yummy. The Japanese steak sauce is on the sweeter side but it goes well with Jidori egg$3 There was plenty of parking in the parking lot

Convenient strip mall location with a small amount of indoor and outdoor seating, through the intention is primarily for to-go orders. Food was decently flavorful but did not seem to be warrant the high prices, similar to the its sit down restaurant counterpart, especially eating out of plastic containers. Service was prompt. Overall underwhelming experience.

This place does not work disrespectful to customers arrived on schedule. They are closed, waited half an hour.

The $20 hamburg steak lunch box felt overpriced based on portion and food quality. The hamburg itself was dry and relatively small in portion, and the rice tasted aged and cheap compared to other japanese establishments. The only redeeming part of the lunch box was the hamburg sauce. But again, other sit-down restaurants offer cheaper and better food at the same price and cannot recommend this place. It also took 20-25 minutes during a non-busy lunch time, so not exactly ideal for a quick bite.

Service was incredibly quick when I placed my order online. I was told to come here when I accidentally went to the Red Rock restaurant in Gardena. This location has takeout and sit in while the other location is dine in only. I ordered a rice bowl, and omelette rice and both were amazing. I've never had this in Japan, but this taste is for a person who likes the beef sauce that is specific to Japanese cuisine. It's just a bit sweet and a little more saucy than gravy, but not as thick. The ambiance is pretty quiet, and I waited no time for my order. This was on a Sunday during dinner time. I would love to come back again and get the mince beef croquette!
