I live 5 minutes from this restaurant but have never given it a shot. I took my girlfriend here and we were pleasantly surprised with the quick service, the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff. I had the filet and my girlfriend had the salmon and both were very good. We will be back.
We dined here on 2/17/24 after a longer travel day, and the menu looked great online. We were transparent about allergies when placing our order, as the menu didn’t highlight any key ingredients we should be mindful of. After confirming with the waitress our allergen sensitivity, we ordered our appetizers and entrees, only to have one of our entrees baked with the known allergen. We asked the waitress if this was made right, to which she confirmed it was OK, only to have a reaction moments later since it was in fact made with the allergen. As we went to get medication from the car, one of the managers/leads bombarded us with the menu, asking what else we would like since “that was the last portion of gnocchi for the night”, only for them to make a new batch moments later. It seemed like the kitchen just didn’t want to make a new portion initially because they were closing within the hour. After boxing up the entrees, they comped the affected entree, but we left wishing they handled the scenario better. No “should we call someone?” or , “do you need anything?”. If anything, it seemed like an inconvenience to them. Again, the menu and entrees looked great, just disappointed on how things were handled.

Amazing food and lovely service! Was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile from Bobby who proceeded to give us outstanding personalized food and wine recommendations. We had the scallops (on lobster risotto — oh my!) and the bolognese with in-house ground rib-eye (another oh my!). We love big bold reds and he recommended a delicious cab sauv from Priest Ranch (which is rarely seen on a restaurant wine list), and it was well priced to boot! We usually are not dessert people, but when he said strawberry shortcake made with a homemade biscuit — Southern style — I was sold. It was truly just like my grandmother’s. We will definitely come here again!
Parking: Plenty of street parking and a free lot is around the corner

Dined in a Saturday evening. The service was great from the suggestions on a wine that we might enjoy to what we might enjoy for dinner. The food was delicious and so good. Can see this becoming our go to spot when looking to dine in Torrance.
Excellent dinner with my nephew Nick. The owner waited on us and was a great example of great service along with incredible food. You made an impression on this Chicago guy. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Bobby was great, took my friend there for her birthday last night and his recommendations for wine and food were on point. He went above and beyond and even got the entire restaurant to sing "happy birthday" to her. It made her feel very special and we really appreciated the care and attention. Barramundi was wonderful, creme brulee cheesecake was as well. Will be back!
I'm going to start this review with a bit of a funny story. I was looking for something new to try in the Old Town Torrance area The review that caught my eye was this woman who was OUTRAGED by how she was treated. You see, in her infinite wisdom she thought a kitzhe little WINE BAR was the appropriate place to celebrate her ONE-YEAR OLD BABYS BIRTHDAY. The couple was seated with the baby, but the waiter did warn them that if the baby started disrupting the other patrons they would be asked to leave. I finally got to try it for myself, and as soon as I walked into the establishment that story became so much funnier. This space is the size of a shoe box. Of course they had to ask the couple to leave! They had no place to shove a crying baby where the other guests wouldn't be disturbed even if they wanted to! As far as my review: Ambiance: Quite, intimate, upscale enough for date nights, but not so fussy that you wouldn't feel comfortable there for a casual get-together. I can't remember what music they had playing which indicates they kept it very low. Food: My companion chose most of the dishes. The breaded jumbo prawns I ordered were excellent. He tried the carnivore flatbread pizza and the gnocchi. I tasted those as well. The cheese on the pizza had a bitter, sour taste. The sauce on the gnocchi was nice but the pasta itself was gummy. We tried the strawberry shortcake for dessert and they served it on a rock-hard biscuit with no ice cream. The masticated strawberries and the thin, runny whipped cream did not stand up to the hard bread. Service: Attentive, personal, but not pushy. I didn't feel rushed or ignored so 10 out of 10 for striking that balance. Overall: I gave this place a 3 because I want to go back and try additional menu items. They had stuff that looked better than what my friend wanted to try. My food review wasn't very positive, but all kitchens have strengths and weaknesses. I left intrigued.
What an amazing place. Our second time there, and the owners, Rob and Sarah are always there to make sure you're having the best time and the food is perfect. They also know wines, and have some really good options. We're wine snobs, and they don't disappoint. Totally recommend checking it out.
Was looking for a place that myself and my wife can get something to eat and a glass of wine without too much craziness. This was a perfect place. Service was great. Food was great. Wine was great. Absolutely a great time.

The service and taste were fine and delicious. I just feel like it's a little expensive. . .

This was a great spot before, but visit here under ‘new ownership’ was a total disappointment. Menu is sub-par, terrible service, just all around not good. Won’t go back.

Omg, the lobster option with cheese was divine. Sweet and salty and all taste into, just divine, love it.I love their burger, too, it was sweet, tangy, salt, peppery, very savory and juicy too. The meat was cooked very nicely.

The food is very yummy! We ordered the mushroom flatbread and also the arugula and beets salad. Both are great choices! We had pesto shrimp, bolognese, chicken tender, and salmon. Everything is tasty
Great neighborhood gem. The crew could not be more friendly and attentive. Fun menu with great specials. I had the mussels (an appetizer) which was entree sized and delicious. The four of us have different preferences on wine. Each of us had great choices by the glass. It had been a while since I had been there. Already looking forward to going back.
