Don't let the unassuming neon glow of the strip mall fool you. Once inside you'll be transported to a dive bar tiki paradise full of welcoming locals, cheap beer and limited distractions.
A throw back to simpler time when you were not overwhelmed with menu options or craft beer choices.

Hole in the wall. Watering hole. Dive bar. Whatever you want to call it, this place is home to some regular bar flies but everyone is friendly. Jerry is the man and he makes a mean scorpion bowl. Decor is underrated IMO. There's a very old-school water feature in the entryway which is worth a photo to tiki enthusiasts. You'll see most folks drinking Bud Light here, but don't be shy to ask Jerry for a cocktail. His go-to is a Mai Tai and a Scorpion, but I think I got a Rum Barrel out of him once. Some fun Decor behind the bar, and you'll spot some old pieces dotted around. Worth this visit? Definitely. I frequent here every 3 months or so. I keep coming back for more, haha.

Ron is a gem. This place is fantastic and everyone should come experience it! A really cool dive with lots of character and charm. Had a great tiki drink made with love. Order the Scorpion. You won’t regret itBring cash!

This is a local bar. Expectations should be set appropriately. When I walked in, three locals we're having a discussion about women drivers and the design of American cars. However, the Scorpion was Awesome. Set your expectations low and experience the local to tiki bar. I will be back. ??

I LOVE this bar. It’s kind of a hole in the wall (which is perfect for me), the drinks are strong but balanced, and the owner/bartender is an absolute gem.

Ron is the sweetest, and a VET! You should DEFINITELY check it out! Bring a friend or 2 and enjoy a SCORPION...yum yum!

I am a fan of Thomway Hale Hawaii Lounge for Happy Hour. It isn't too busy during that time, and all of the Thomway Hale Hawaii Lounge type drinks are only $5. I dig the indoor outdoor fireplace setup and the decor is cute. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 4-7.

The setting was stunning. Our wait staff was superb. We chose to order 1 wine pairing between the two of us and thank goodness that we did.

Really amazing cocktails but I recommend getting a traditional one or one with the coconut flavor because it tastes awesome. I tried something new (don't remember the name) and was disappointed but my boyfriend loved his drink.

Thomway Hale Hawaii Lounge was on my must visit list during my recent trip to Los Angeles, CA. My hasbend and I are huge fans of tiki bars and have had the opportunity to visit numerous top tiki bars during our travels. I would easily rank Smuggler's Cove among the top in the United States.

I always enjoy a good tiki bar. This one is a little small and the regulars are cool to new faces. Cash only and no food. But an enjoyable atmosphere.

Definitely my favorite tiki bar of all time!!! I love the tiki vibe, the amazing service, and the cute little tables. The drinks are also legit and spectacular!!! I love the fact that you walk down the stairs into this secret underworld of the tiki! I will definitely be back!
