Wow what an amazing meal! This place a delightful, bare bones cook your own fine meat to your precise liking. Excellent customer service and soju and sake. We came here for a birthday, and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are in the mood for BBQ for lunch, this place is perfect! A lot of Japanese BBQ Places are not open in lunch time, but Yamaya is. Their meat is a great quality, and the server is so friendly and knowledgeable about meat. Seating is relaxing, and cozy.

I had seen this resturant many times and finally tried it and flad I did.The food was great! The quality and taste of the meat was excellent. The service was amazing.Ordered the ameican wagu set and tried the stewed beef tongue. Both were delicious, tender and flavorful. The grated yuzu and truffle salt that come with the meat ate great. Will definitely be back. It gets busy so be patient with servers. Its definitely worth it.

I really loves this place! The sake bottles went well with the meat selection. They have a very unique wasabi that I mixed with my rice. Combined with the meat and truffle salt, it was delicious.The restaurant is very clean, service was amazing, and food was unbelievable!

Wow! Why haven't I been here before?! This small Japanese bbq restaurant has the best quality meat and helpful staff. As a first time visitor they were helpful showing us how to order and what plates to get. It was so delicious. Definitely coming back.

This isn't Gyu-Kaku nor is it meant to be - it's definitely upscale meat in terms of taste and selection.We were guided carefully through our choices by the owner to make sure we'd order the right amount, and were offered tips on how to combine the meat with specific condiments (certain kinds of wasabi and salt) that made the flavors stand out. Sides such as the rice and salad were also tasty and not an afterthought which completed the experience.It was just two people running the entire place during lunch which made the level of attention we got on a moderately crowded day notable.Strongly recommend if you want a nice local place to treat yourself to. Make reservations beforehand!

Their A5 Japanese Wagyu beef tasted great! I think the price is reasonable since they only have Ribeye. It will be great if there are more choices on the appetizers as well as add dessert menu!

We had a phenomenal dining experience this weekend. I contacted the restaurant 3-4 days before the day we wanted to reserve - the manager, Masa, was extremely helpful. We had a larger party, with kids, and Masa made sure to assist with pre-ordering and planning in order to ensure the most efficient experience. His responses were quick, clear, professional. The restaurant was (understandably) busy on a Saturday night, but Masa continued to be very attentive and gave perfect service. The meal was unbeatable, with quality meats and side dishes that complemented. 5/5 all around.
