Korean Chicken Tto Bong Ee (또봉이), TRACY

I had to see what everyone is ranting and raving about so I went and on my first time they make you feel so welcome and smile like they know you’re going to love it! I do love it! Their fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had! The young girl at the counter is always ready with a big smile and so friendly! The place is super clean! I go whenever I can it’s my go to place first choice! I highly highly recommend this place!

This place has killer food, is clean, and the staff seem very sweet.

My only complaints were we were prompted to use a screen to select our order, they had several boxes piled in-front of the restaurant that employees were actively digging through for things, and it was cash only. If you want good food in a clean restaurant I would highly recommend here.

Was finally able to try this place. The food is delicious. The fried shrimp wasn't greasy like some places make it, actually pretty crispy.. My only complaint is that we wanted to dine in but ended up taking it to go because it was sooo warm inside.

Wanted to try out some korean style chicken in Tracy near the mall / bestbuy area with my daughter. The restaurant is alittle hidden but normally when it is more secluded it's normally more delicious then the rest ......normally.

Well anyways, the place is really clean and friendly and have limited seating.

The food I ordered is spicy jalapeño without bones / crispy chicken / red bean fish / duk poki. The spicey jalapeño chicken sauce was very sweet and not enough spiciness and the meat was super hard and not tender at all.
The crispy chicken was OK but was cooked a little too long for the meat not being tender or juicy. The Duk poki was alittle too watery and not enough spice and lastly the fried red bean desert was not good at all, it was so oily and it tasted old oil was used and my daughter taken one bite and threw the rest away.

Would I go back to the restaurant? Probably never, are there better tasting chicken in Tracy? Of course there is and that is popeye and KFC and atleast there chicken is tender and juicy.
For $70 plus tip meal I expect a certain degree of quality in the food and not a oily or dry meat chicken today and maybe I got the worse of the bunch, who knows? That is our experience of the food.

It’s been a while since I ate Korean chicken. It is less salty than other brands of chicken, and the sauce that comes with it adds to the taste. The food is prepared right away whenever an order is placed, so if you don't want to wait, we recommend ordering by phone or online. While waiting for the chicken, I recommend ordering sotteok sotteok and Korean-style side dishes.
