Best smoked salmon anywhere! I have been a loyal customer for 60 years and will be until this place doesn't exist anymore. I have tried the smoked salmon from many different locations from Humboldt County to Washington State, Native American stands as well. None compare. It is expensive, however, the salmon shrinks by nearly half when smoked and there is a process required to make it. Katy's does it exceptionally well!

What a wonderful discovery! For those of you that had less than kind words to say about Bob, it must be you. Bob, the current owner is sweet as pie. He's also very direct. He either has it, or he doesn't. He doesn't mince words. But with many people, you just need to give him a chance. He's proud of what he does, and you should be too. Yes, it's that impressive. Currently, there's not a lot of smoking of fish going on, but there absolutely is fresh off the boat just caught for you, fish to purchase, along with a couple of different versions of canned fish. This is the first time that I've spent $20 for a can of tuna ( see the picture), and I would do it all over again! It is that delicious. I'm usually pretty hoity-toity with my canned tuna selections, but this really upped the game for me, and I absolutely will not look back. It's not oily, it's not packed with a bunch of unnecessary water, it's just amazing tuna in a can.I also purchased, salmon, smoked, salmon, and sturgeon. We can't wait to try them. We made tuna salad, and literally there was none left. If we could have scraped the bowl even more than we had, we certainly would have. The location is quaint, and if you have the ability to grab some of the fresh fish, I highly encourage you to do it. The scallops looked amazing. It was pretty cool to feel like a local, for a few moments chatting with Bob, and locals were stopping in said hello to us, said hello to Bob, and started chitchatting about family events, or whatever they had going on. It's a great place, Bob offers an amazing product, and it's worth the push !

I have to say if you are in the area Katy's is a must. Everything we got from here was outstanding including the great service and information on all the products. The Sashimi grade tuna was excellent even after a 4 hour drive home Katy's was nice enough to give us an ice pack and we just had the crab meat that we turned into the best crab cakes I have ever had. The place is spotless, clean and no funky smells like some fish markets I have been in. What a gem in the area trust me don't pass this place up!

The selection is small but everything is fantastic. The smoked salmon is some of the best I've ever had. The tuna and smoked salmon patte is so good. It's not your typical canned fish. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting. He chatted with my wife and I for 10 min about the history of the smokehouse and how he came to own it. It will definitely be added to our places to stop when on the north coast.

The tuna was the best I've ever had. We stopped in and bought ten cans and ordered a case once we got home. My wife got the smoked salmon and it was also great. Don't drain the water before you make the tuna sandwiches like the label says. Also, the owner was really decent to us.
