I basically picked the first seafood restaurant I found in the area, and BOY did I get lucky. I sat at the counter (with a view to the kitchen), and the first thing I noticed was how warmly all of the staff interacted with each other. Wait staff and kitchen staff seemed calm and like they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. Everyone--even the teenage host--was ridiculously knowledgable about the food and wine, in an easy-going, friendly way. I had the oysters, which were local and perfectly sweet, and then the king salmon special. The herb sauce on the salmon just sent me over the edge. The produce in the salad was crisp and fresh. Everything was just perfect. It wasn't cheap, but it sure was worth every penny!

Our favourite pub for meals and drinks, the staff know us . Service is always friendly and efficient.

Delicious food, thoughtful local organic ingredients, rich omg French toasts and such, and healthy omlets with local veggies and salads. Full coffee bar with lattes and mochas. One of the best places to eat in the area. Plus they have a great little gift shop full of Trinidad and Redwood wonders... and fudge. Really really good fudge. If there's a wait, its worth it.

Had a large group and they dont take reservation. So we called and asked what we should do they told us to show up at 5 and we would have a 30 mintute wait. We showed up and put our name on the list the house told us it would be about 2 hours so we sat down outside and waited. 1 hour 45 mins later we got in they made some accommodations and got us in a few minutes faster. The clam chowder seafood plater and the mushroom burger as well as all our drinks were excellent. but i orderd a 47 dollar salmon market price dish with bok choy and jasmine rice. The salmon was good but super tiny for 47 bucks. The bok choy was absolutely disgusting and tasted like feet. The rice was super bland would not order again. Overall the buisness knows they will get plenty of tourist buisness so there not putting in a lot of real effort. The waitresses were great the hostess was rude and wouldent help us when asked. If your going get the clam chowder and the safe foods avoid market items and if your coming with more than 6 people get there a few hours before your hungry it is a small small reasturant.

UNSAFE AND UNWANTED!

We took a trip to this beautiful town to celebrate a graduation from university before departing for basic training in the military.

We requested a table for our small group and were informed of our wait time, which was reasonable. However, once the rest of our group arrived, we received stares of disgust, and the demeanor of the staff changed completely.

We were informed that the restaurant will close for 30 minutes while transitioning from the lunch menu to the dinner menu.

It was acceptable and understandable, albeit a bit unorthodox.

We took the time to walk around and admire the beautiful scenery.

Once the wait time concluded, we were informed that there were seven groups ahead of us and that we would need to wait an additional 60 minutes.

The restaurant was far from being at capacity.

During this time, a server carrying a full tray of dishes walked by and rudely exclaimed, “BEHIND YOU!”

We were astonished by the mannerisms and the disgusted stares we received from the staff and some customers in the restaurant. Following the rude interaction, we were informed that the wait time would be an additional 45 minutes.

At this point, the state of denial had worn off. It was clear that we were not welcome in this establishment. We simply left and found another restaurant to dine in.

Although we encountered some prejudice at this establishment, we hope it does not reflect the true character of this beautiful town.

This local restaurant was exceptional from the service to the food and even the little gift shop with local favorites. I would highly recommend if you are looking for some delicious food in the area.

As always, the fish and chips are my favorite in Humboldt - fresh fish, lovely finish on the batter. The highlight this visit was the Trinidad Fog drink (Earl Grey Latte with Humboldt twist) from the coffee/tea bar... delicious and had me craving another for days.

Great spot in a good location not far from the water. Had the feel of a small town diner all the locals go to. The clam chowder and blackberry cobbler were great!

The cioppino doesn't taste bad but it's not good and I wouldn't recommend it. For $38, I expected it to taste like authentic cioppino but it was a definite miss.

Nice homey old time restaurant vibe. They serve excellent espresso and chai. Friendly staff. I look forward to returning for dinner here. We returned for dinner. Great service. Friendly staff. The ribeye was excellent. Delicious calamari and the goat cheese filled fried hatch green chili relleno was a delightful surprise.
