Beautiful Restaurant. Still feels like old Tahoe, but refreshed and really clean. I love their expanded dining room. We went for the prime rib and were not disappointed. It was tender and delicious!

Overall good with some minor improvements needed. The prime rib was supposed to come with a fresh vegetable medley but it was just cold broccoli. We ordered wine with our steaks which arrived almost 10 minutes after the food so that was a bummer. Overall this is a very nice restaurant that I'm guessing will be better next time we go.

Everything was great but too many flys!! They are everywhere. No excuse for it. You spend a couple hundred dollars for a good meal and have to deal with flys!!

First visit to Bar of America. Perfect Saturday vibe. Prime rib and the pistachio crusted Chilean sea bass with pesto risotto were both spectacular. But what made our evening was our greeting and the best professional service by Emily. We were traveling with another couple...she just made the evening such a fun and memorable experience! Maybe a lower volume from the live music would have made it 110%

Good food selection. Good location. Busboys were fantastic! The food was good and looked great, but my meat was not cooked as requested. Otherwise, great place to eat!
I did not like the hostess because I pointed out the seating area that was near the outdoor sitting since there was a good amount flowing air. She declined unsure what she said. Then maybe the manager or someone asked me what was the problem and I said I would like to sit on the table behind me. Then the hostess came back and said ok I can move.

I was a bit disappointed in my burger. It had no sauce on it at all and was very dry. I will try something else next time

Great decision to stop for a late lunch at Bar of America in Truckee on our day-long drive around Lake Tahoe. First, the food was wonderful. We had the blackened fish tacos entree with fresh Pacific red snapper, and the turkey, cranberry and brie sandwich. Portions were very generous and the ambiance in the historic building on Truckee’s main street is not to be missed. But the real reason for writing this review is to compliment our server, Amie K. She is a delight, and her attentive, friendly service was a highlight of our meal. She is a true professional, engaging just enough with her customers, and always with a smile and a ready laugh. She cheerily sent this Colorado couple back on our way, well-fed and still smiling over stories and laughter we shared with Amie K. Please give this hard-working gem a raise!

I wasn't super hungry so I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. The lettuce sure wasn't very good. Romaine lettuce should be very fresh and crisp. The lettuce I had was flat and tasted like it had come out of a bag of pre-cut lettuce that had been in a bag for a week. I thought they would have better quality at this restaurant. The salmon was good but the piece could have been a little bigger.

Our server was excellent. He was friendly and prompt and checked on us constantly seeing if we needed anything and refilling drinks and water. We really appreciated his great customer service.
