We stopped in to poke around and see what there was for t-shirts, etc. It was more food, toiletries, etc. than it was clothes or souvenirs. It was a nice shop, but just not what we were expecting!

More than you expect! Coffee house, little bit bakery, wine selection so grab a bottle or 2 to relax after skiing, snacks, over the counter medicines, souvenirs. Easy stop on way to catch shuttle back to condos

After spending $14 for a roll of paper towel and a 4-pack toilet paper (all of the lowest quality) plus a soda, I asked if they had plastic bags (which would be great considering it's a very wet snow season), the lady behind the counter rolled her eyes and said "Oh we don't do plastic bags here." Then, the pos machine asked for tips starting at 18%, which I don't believe many have ever seen at a convenient store... Just yet another moment that reminds me why I left California...Follow-up to the reply of the owner: Apparently we have different definitions of quality of toilet papers. With thin toilet papers, in order to avoid getting your hands soiled, one needs to use more layers and that won't save the environment.Regarding plastic bags, plastic can be almost 100% recycled with modern technologies, and they don't require cutting trees. As for the pos machine, California is the citadel of software engineering and it's just hilarious that pos machines here can't tell cafe customers from supply shoppers based on what they are buying. Finally, trust me, if I had a choice, I'd rather never return to CA.

Bought a 4 pack of beers for the patio, my 2 friends were arriving a little later so I asked if I could keep tge other 2 beers in the fridge. She rudely said no, I cant let you do that, gave no reason. It was totally dead, noone else around. Why?

Sure there is a Safeway and a Raley’s close by, but sometimes you just don’t want to get in the car. Very convenient location. I think we went twice a day while staying here! They have a lot of items that fit several diets. I am wheat, soy and peanut free (minimal dairy) and they had plenty of things I could buy there. The iced chai latte with almond milk is delicious. My husband ordered an iced mocha everyday! He doesn’t drink coffee but once a month - maybe! I tried a sip, hands down best mocha I’ve had. My husband and friend had breakfast there one day and they said it was also really good.Prices are what you would expect for a specialty market in a resort village. I don’t mind paying extra considering how convenient it is - and how good the drinks are! *I also shop at Whole Foods - so I wasn’t in price shock.Dee and Sarah and very friendly!

During our week stay at Northstar, we stopped here every day. All of the employees were very friendly and very helpful. Also, the chef made us the most delicious tofu breakfast burritos. The food in the village is pretty mediocre overall, so I was pleasantly surprised by the food at this small cafe/grocery store.

The only business open in the Northstar Village during a four-day blizzard and for all the marooned, snowed-in people: this was it. Nobody was able to leave for two days, but nobody needed to go Donner Party on anyone either - the shelves were well-stocked. The owners planned ahead with purchasing and scheduling staff, who were all efficient and friendly. Though it was crowded, it never felt like the wait was long. We got the fixings for a huge pasta dinner and some good and reasonably-priced wine and beer. The whole experience

Such a great place to sit down and have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat! The coffee is so good that we bought a bag to take home with us!

We were staying at Northstar Lodge and we were informed they had a small store that had groceries and some food items you can eat there. There’s one table that seats about 10 people where you can eat you meal it’s the only place in the village where you can buy groceries. They do have a good selection of other items such as gloves, hats, etc
