They did a great job with my wedding cake! It was delicious and beautiful. Huge cake for a very reasonable price. We’ve also stopped in for coffee and breakfast and it’s been great every time.

Saw good reviews so thought I’d check them out, I was very disappointed. The coffee was terrible. I got a caramel latte and it was just bleh. I went to get sugar packets to try to salvage it and they were hard, like they had gotten wet. The whole place seemed like it could use a deep clean. On the plus side, the pastries were decent but I have no interest in going back next time I’m in Truckee.

Super cute little hole in the wall. I had the lemon bar and a chocolate croissant. Both were amazing, but I particularly loved the croissant. It was huge and so buttery and delicious. Service wasn’t the best, but I’d still eat here again.

Cornerstone…what happened to you?
Folks…This is not the same great local boutique breakfast / coffee shop I remember from 2 and 3 years ago. It appears to be under new management. So maybe they need some time to get it right?
I added a photo of my “flat white” which was dead flat…I don’t even think the big global coffee chain will do such a bad job of it. They were nice enough to refund me for it but…I drink one cup of Joe per day…and it needs to be good.
The double bacon breakfast sandwich was good enough but definitely not worth $20. And the pastries are also not as good. Similar but I feel like inferior ingredients are being used
There are many other great breakfast spots in Truckee that are just as expensive but better.

This is not the best croissant in Truckee. It is not the best croissant in the greater Tahoe Bay Area Northern California region. This is the best croissant in North America. Including French speaking Canada. And it’s not close. I am going to have dreams about this croissant.

Good,fresh baked goods. Indoor dining too because it was cold outside. We bought bakery goods and took them to the hotel room, cookies at night and sweets in the morning with coffee.

Their baked goods are amazing. The food in their restaurant is also great. Their coffee drinks and chai are way below average though. I’ve given it a couple tries, but I end up throwing them out after a few sips. No flavor in the chai, lattes with way too much foam, etc. Get the baked goods, skip the drink. The setting is cute but they need to do a better job of bussing and keeping tables clean and items stocked. I’ve never completed my order without being interrupted by someone asking for a cloth to clean tables, or for napkins, water cups, etc. I also think it would be a better setup to have the dirty dish bin not so openly on display right next to the water and condiment station.

This is such a cute and delicious bakery in the heart of downtown Truckee! You can order baked goods to go or sit down in the restaurant. I did both and highly recommend both experiences! They make an incredible vanilla latte and their baked goods are just SO GOOD!
