Let’s start with the service. The woman at the till was so helpful with my allergies, extremely patient with my order, and incredibly friendly. Five stars for her alone! Wish I got her name for the review.
The salad was also great. Can’t remember the name, but I can remember the Brussels sprouts and quinoa :) solid gluten free options and a big portion

Very fresh and high quality food!
Truckee is our frequent get away from the Bay spot, so my boyfriend and I have gotten to explore many of the establishments here. This spot in particular, we have dined at three times now and it’s our #1 go to spot in Truckee. This little hidden gem is the best in town! Being from the Bay Area, it’s hard to find great food in Truckee that I would return to, but this place is IT! We always get the salmon hash, short rib hash and side of pancakes. The place is small, but there’s plenty of seating outside. We always try to make it here early before the brunch crowd, so seating inside is never a problem for us. Service is always so friendly and helpful, 5/5.

People are coming from all over the country. Is it difficult to clean the furniture and the floors in here.? Food is not good

Amazing! The best brunch spot in Truckee that’s not a sweets overload. They have the tastiest bread and sausages. My favorite dish is the granola bowl, it has so much delicious fruit and honey on top of the yogurt. I would highly recommend.

Awful. Don’t let the corner store bakery next door fool you into believing that food other than baked goods is good here. Honestly one of the most disappointing lunches of my life. The food was greasy and the chips tasted like fish, probably due to old oil used. Salad was completely tasteless. They claimed it was balsamic but you’ll never know, tastes just like plain oil. Sandwiches are soggy and covered in mayo. The entire place is so cramped that you literally touch people as you squeeze yourself in standing in life. Coffee is the worst I ever had. Espresso tatted like drip coffee, super watered down. The only thing that was good here is their baked goods.

The harvest bowl with chicken breast was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The chicken was somehow so tasty and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection with a hint of maple

Barclaw was the best I ever had. Also got an amazing pecan bar and lemon blueberry scone. Can only speak about pastries but they were amazing!

I’m not sure where are the good reviews came from…the food was okay. I had the breakfast sandwich. The aioli was basically mayo. I ate the egg off of my sandwich and some of the croissant. My daughter had pancakes which were fine. I had a few bites of that as well. Seating was limited which is to be expected, but I ended up sitting in the back outside. I had to go back inside to pick up my drink. My daughter needs some help walking on uneven surfaces so I had to leave her to go get my drink. There was a note on the table to bus your own. That’s fine but I didn’t see where I was supposed to put my trash and dishes. I found it up at the front of the restaurant, a ways from where we were sitting. This was difficult because I was alone with my daughter who is disabled. I took her to the top and had her wait while I grabbed our dishes. We were also on our way home so I wanted to use the restroom before leaving. There was a wait which isn’t the restaurants fault but the line was right by another busing area so I stood waiting for the bathroom with my daughter for twenty minutes right next to a huge garbage can full of food. Kind of gross right after eating. I spent $41 for my 10 year old and myself and we used plastic forks. There was no hot sauce or anything on the table for the potatoes. I guess I could’ve asked but no one ever came by and I didn’t want to leave my daughter alone again to go ask. I was really hoping to have an enjoyable brunch with my daughter after her horseback riding lesson and was really disappointed.

There's so much to love about this place. The pastries look delightful and the staff are friendly. They have some tables with umbrellas outside and a couple inside.
I would go back for pastries any day but this was my first time going for cooked food and I hate to admit that the breakfast sandwich I got was so-so. I had really high hopes based on the food I was seeing. The sandwich arrived and it was pretty sad ... A lot of focaccia, with two tiny slices of tomato, half an avocado (totally great!) but only one little egg. I think it definitely called for two eggs! Maybe some arugula? More tomato for sure. Some cheese? Something.... The ratio of filling to bread was way off.... And at $16 if hope for two eggs at least. It did come with some potato crisps which were delightful. Would for sure go back for those! But would not recommend the breakfast sando. Other items looked better!!
Visiting Truckee as a tourist and tried out this place since it had such great ratings. The ratings are very true to their word. I tried out a traditional breakfast from here and the eggs were the tastiest I’ve ever had. Same goes with the potatoes. Inside, it’s a little cramped, but the food is worth it.

Had the breakfast sandwich on sea salt focaccia at Cornerstone Kitchen and I’m still thinking about it days later. The focaccia is that good—perfectly soft with just the right hit of salt and crisp edges. Everything in the sandwich was great, but that bread stole the show. SO GOOD.
