The food was absolutely disgusting. I have been on the toilet since I had lunch. We had the fajitas and by far some of the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Who puts tomatoes in fajitas??? The beans were gross, the chips were stale. The drinks were the only good thing about the lunch. Even the servers are rude as hell. You can definitely tell this is a good ole boy bar and restaurant. Save your money and go up the street to the other Mexican restaurant. The food is absolutely disgusting.

Nice simple mexican food, good and quick service, perfect if you’re looking for a casual dinner or stopping by on way to Tahoe.

Fantastic, homemade Mexican food..
Ate here twice during the last 2 weeks while I was working nearby. Both times the food is fantastic.. salsa is dynamite. Service can be slow sometimes, just bring your patience!

Parking: Parking in downtown Truckee can be a little difficult depending on when you go eat..

Stopped in for lunch today. Excellent margarita. Food was served hot and very tasty. The enchilada sauce was delicious. The small dish of red salsa served with the chips had a nice bite. I’d go back again….?

Worst Mexican food experience in my life! Never had I had the worst Mexican food. The food was disgusting, horrible service and the place is dirty. The price I paid, I almost walked out. We did barely touched our food and still paid $73. I fully do not recommend.

We sat on the deck of El Toro Bravo for a late lunch this afternoon and we had a wonderful time! I don’t leave a lot of reviews but between the amazing food and our wonderful server, Rafael we had a great time! Our portions were awesome and the food tasted so good! We were really blown away :) Rafael was so attentive and welcoming to us! We will definitely be back!

Food was great, and hot. Authentic which is important. Drink were stiff and good tasting. Bathroom clean for a mid day late lunch which is good. Gets sorta a loud if you sit in the back, but we had obnoxious peeps that dranks to much. Only 8 spots to park for free in the lot,....so go to church before you come. Then you may get one for free. The salsa was so good, I bought a pint for my mom,.....yeah that good! Nice place,....and good out door seating as well. Enjoy. MSU

Parking: 8 spots for parking , but street parking is $1.50 a hour....not that bad at all.

The food was disappointing. The chips were stale. There is a strange smell in the restaurant that is hard to get past. This was our second visit...strange smell both times. My taco shell tasted chemical like. The place feels like it needs a deep cleaning and paint. There were a lot of people walking into the kitchen that just didn't look clean. I asked for some sour cream for which I was charged $2.50 and amounted to about 3 tablespoons. The waitress, however, was lovely and attentive.

Such a great little gem of Truckee. The oldest family run spot in town and they're still here for a reason. Fantastic bar with very reasonable prices. Food is great as well, something for everyone. Definitely recommend asking for their hot sauce!
