The food was disappointing. The chips were stale. There is a strange smell in the restaurant that is hard to get past. This was our second visit...strange smell both times. My taco shell tasted chemical like. The place feels like it needs a deep cleaning and paint. There were a lot of people walking into the kitchen that just didn't look clean. I asked for some sour cream for which I was charged $2.50 and amounted to about 3 tablespoons. The waitress, however, was lovely and attentive.

Such a great little gem of Truckee. The oldest family run spot in town and they're still here for a reason. Fantastic bar with very reasonable prices. Food is great as well, something for everyone. Definitely recommend asking for their hot sauce!

The food was horrid! The ground beef tacos tasted rancid and the fajitas had no flavor (which was probably a blessing). Don't do it!

You have to try all of their margaritas! Maybe not all in the same visit.

We love this space. A lovely drive for us from Sparks, NV, so worth it to meet up with good friends & great food. The staff is friendly & real & the locals are welcoming. I have a lot of favorite dishes, among them is the chorizo plate & the carnitas. My husband can't stop thinking about the Colorado plates. Wether it's inside during the cooler months or the beautiful patio in the warmer months every seat is a good seat. A very welcome respite after a long week of working

This place was recommended to me by a ski shop local and I was not disappointed. I'm shocked by the bad reviews - this place has bomb Mexican, friendly employees and a great bar. Water and chips/salsa were at the table before we sat down. If you're expecting Michelin star tacos go back to where you came from.

Male bartender is a POS. Menu clearly reads, “Granadier (Margarita).” Two ‘A’s. I ask for a gra-na-dier. Bartender asks, what’s that? I point to the menu. He says, “You’re mispronouncing ‘grandier’.” I tell him, “Menu spells it with two ‘A’s.” He shoves the menu inches from my face and smugly says, “G-R-A-N” but stops before having to say the second A. Now I know they really put that big A* behind the bar.

First of all, every restaurant here was an hour wait. Then I saw this half empty restaurant looking for people. I came in expecting very low quality food. I am now leaving with the best bang for my buck. The Super Burrito is just 11$ and it is the size of my head. Wow! Just wow! The customer service here was great, server was great. I don't think a 50$ meal would be better then what I'm experiencing right now. Next time I come here i hope to see this restaurant flourishing!

Rude waitress, changed tables because of loud people, she was pissed and turned around with our food when she saw we moved a couple tables down.Tried to talk to her about moving and she completely ignored us. NEVER Going there

Not the most fashionable Mexican restaurant in town but when you have a craving for more traditional Americanized, it works. Ample serving size. Chips are mediocre, salsa is spicy but tasteless. Margaritas almost have a pineapple or some type of citrus flavor. Premade I would guess. My server was attentive. Older building in Old Town is a nice ambiance. There's better in town but this scratches the itch between Taco Bell and Authentic.

The amount of food they give you is an absolute challenge. But exactly the type of challenge you look for after a full day of skiing. Bartender is the nicest guy around and was singing his version of "it's a holly jolly crisco" as he was making a margarita which looked to be half filled with tequila. It's definitely a drinker's bar, but I couldn't have asked for better food or hospitality. Five stars.
