The food is so incredible and everyone working was amazing, from the hostess to the food runners. Our server was so lovely, guided us to a great wine, and on our way out just as I realized and was lamenting we forgot our leftovers, she ran them out to us! Will absolutely be returning!

Ate here for a family dinner and was amazed. My family had eaten here before and had nothing but good things to say about the restaurant. Therefore my expectations were high, but nevertheless I was still shocked by how lovely of a time I had. Everything about this restaurant is great, from the service to the food, it was a wonderful experience. Out server was very friendly and had a great vibe. The food was delicious. We got the pizza of the day (veggie pizza) and many different pasta dishes. The triangoli was definitely the best and a hit with my family. This was definitely a family dinner for the books, thank you.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Eat elsewhere. Place is VERY noisy. Had to yell to talk to people at our table. Service was VERY slow. Food is WAY overpriced. We ordered almost immediately. Dinner took two hours and we didn’t have desert. We had to get up to get our drinks. Dirty dishes sat on our table for 15-20min before I got someone’s attention to bus our table. When we left we walked by our waitress and she didn’t even say goodbye or thank you. Never checked to see how our meal was. TOO ADD INSULT TO INJURY . . . the owner adds a 6% SURCHARGE TO YOUR DINNER BILL. Same BS they try and pull in SF which I’m told where the owner is from. They do it at the very bottom of your bill. Which means they get you to tip on that amount if you’re not paying attention. I bet most don’t even notice it. VERY DECEPTIVE UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND INTENTIONALLY DONE. They try and sell it as helping cover employee expenses and benefits. That’s the owners responsibility NOT OURS as consumers. SEND THE OWNER a message and don’t go there until he removes this offensive surcharge. That said, based on the quality of the meal, poor service and overpriced food they probably won’t be around for very long.

Never disappointed when I go here. Great friendly service. Amazing food. Does not matter what you order it will be delicious. Usually busy so can be difficult to get in if you have a larger group. Worth waiting for though. Love this place. Wish I could go every night.

Do yourself a favor and stop scrolling reviews because Great Gold is everything you could want in an incredible dining experience. Our group of 7 went for my birthday and chose the chef’s feast tasting menu and wine pairing and it was absolutely sensational. Every dish was delicious, well-timed, and stunning. It was the perfect tour through their menu. They seamlessly adapted to dietary restrictions. The wine pairings were so well thought out and an incredible value for the quality of wine. Every single person that came to our table was friendly and you could tell just genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. Our server, Abby, was the absolute best. We had a layer reservation and we closed the place down and at no point were we rushed through courses. She even took the time to take a group picture and was just so lovely to chat with. She did everything with such ease, especially for a bigger group and a tasting menu. I cannot say enough about Great Gold and how utterly special it made my birthday. Every single person left Great Gold blown away by the food, the atmosphere, the service, and all of the beautiful memories made. Thank you Great Gold!! We will be back!
Super over priced food. The quality is good BUT they say they make everything in house and I think that is untrue. I am eating the exact same Gigli shaped pasta right now from Trader Joes. The tiramisu could have been made in hose - it was nice and well soaked - but after the pasta, I am not sure. It's suoer hard to find many veggies at all. A pasta primavera would be nice. So easy to make. The portions are small. No bread with your service - way cheap. The serivce was friendly. The inside was stuffy and needs air. It's great to have outdoor sesting but cushions are needed for a better dining experience. It's worth a try but be prepared to overpay for what you get.

Food & drinks were delicious, service was super friendly and attentive (thanks Jordyn!), and the atmosphere was vibrant and fun. We had reservations at Tangerine for dinner otherwise I would’ve loved to try the homemade gluten free pasta. Will definitely come back during our next visit to the Tahoe area.
