Realizing it is a Ritz Carlton we did expect it to be pricey. Wine is quadrupled in price. Food was good but have had similar at half the price. Service was okay, but not exceptional. We have been there a few times over the years, first two were wonderful, the last two not so good and doubt that we will be back.

The whole experience was very enjoyable - the staff made our 25th wedding anniversary celebration one to remember - complementary champagne started us off. The ahi appetizer was just the right size to share. The main courses were delicious and the complimentary dessert was exquisite. Highly recommend.

Food was delicious and service was great. The crème brûlée was one of the best deserts I've had!

Manzanita did not meet our expectations for our 30th anniversary celebration. To start, we found the menu offered insufficient options. My wife chose the roll appetizer after she saw nothing else she wanted, and it was nothing more than a bread course that should have been offered with the meal, like every other restaurant I've ever been to. I chose the salad after seeing nothing else I wanted, and at least it was excellent with very fresh vegetables. My wife enjoyed the fettuccini entre, but my halibut was dry and tasteless, and I only ate about half of it. Our server, who was excellent, did notice and ask but I didn't wish to make an issue about it while there. Prices were as expected - expensive - but overall the experience was not up to what we expect at this price point. I've dined at Ritz Carlton restaurants that were among the best in town - but this one is not even close.

We actually dined at Manzanita twice during our stay, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The dinner was grotesquely overpriced but the service was acceptable, save for the sommelier. I had a filet mignon and my husband chose the branzino and both were very bland. Considering the $78 for the steak, this was unacceptable. I do wish to mention that we ordered a roughly $1k bottle of wine with our dinner but the sommelier made zero polite conversation whatsoever while serving it. This was a bit shocking as I have never experienced such indifference. Typically they ask what you've ordered or mention specific qualities about the wine. Nothing. Silence. Breakfast was horrendous. The host kept rapidly running between the kitchen and the host stand in a way that was frankly, manic. The restaurant couldn't have been more that a quarter full and it added a weird feeling to the place. Our server was really inattentive and even my simple order of two eggs and a croissant was too much for them. No butter, no jam (I specifically asked for both when I ordered) and my eggs came out a solid 15 minutes after the rest of our meals were served with zero apology. When the bill came we waited so long for the server to pick it up that my husband actually had to walk it up and hand it to them. Overall not worth the price for the service and food quality.

This beautifully designed restaurant, looks out to the stunning views of the outdoor seating of the hotel as well as the breathtaking views of Tahoe natural beauty. Located at the Ritz Carlton, one can expect to see and taste perfection in every dish. Our waitress Brigitte was so friendly and a joy to talk to, that I couldn’t get enough of her. We spoke French and loved talking about the old French artists from the seventies. It’s such amazing encounters that make a restaurant experience even more memorable. Brigitte is undoubtedly one of the greatest people this restaurant could ever have.

We are Reno locals and feel like we've hit an inflection point with the ritz. Validated parking 25.00, a bread basket for 10. Our 195.00 steak for two was fair at best. This is a really pretty location to visit but there are a lot of choices in the Reno Tahoe area which have outstanding food for the same or less money. With that said we may not be the ritz target customer. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What a great experience. We were at Manzanita in May which is their quieter season and even with a quiet dining room everything was amazing. The food was vibrant, flavorful and creative. The service from our waiter Joey was so thoughtful. We were celebrating a personal milestone and he brought out a lovely dessert to mark the occasion. The bread + compound butters were amazing to start off. The tuna was delicious as an app with gorgeous presentation and the entrees were perfectly cooked (filet mignon for me and scallops for her). Thanks Manzanita staff for a great night!

While the ambiance is nice, food is incredibly mediocre (even the steak) and also very expensive… go elsewhere

Manzanita Restaurant is wonderful!

Gorgeous setting.

Food was beautifully plated and flavorful. Steak was cooked to perfection. Sun chokes and other appetizers were perfect though portions were small for the price.

Professional and friendly service.

We enjoyed the cocktails made by the affable and fabulous bartenders Neil and Ivonne. Very inventive bar menu.

Pricey. But hey. It's the Ritz and not surprising. They could comp the bread though. $9 for a roll with beautifully rolled butter was a bit over the top.

Had to awkwardly wait by the hostess stand while she took a long personal call without any acknowledgement of our group. Beautiful restaurant and good food but the initial encounter was unfortunate.

Perfect pacing for party of 12 in the private room. Delicious food. Helpful sommelier.
