Today was our fourth visit to Manzanita. Every visit here has been exceptional. The staff is amazing, some of the best service we have ever experienced. The food is always very fresh and full of flavor. The portions are great and the price is very reasonable considering its premium inside the Ritz. We love the overall warm, comfortable feel and ambiance of the dining room. Multiple beautiful fire places and a few different seating options for small or larger parties. A great place to bring the kids as well. I highly recommend giving Manzanita a try next time you’re in the area. You are sure to be impressed.

Good service and drinks but so disappointed in the food at Manzanita at the Ritz. You just expect you will have a great meal for the money you spend but both meals were almost unappetizing followed by an ice cold crème brûlée dessert. Very disappointed in what was a rare getaway for us. We will not eat here again.

Located within the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, I had the best fish tacos ever here today. Yes, the menu for lunch is a little limited, but everything we had was outstanding. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service was excellent from the bartender who also served us lunch. Manzanita is a great special occasion restaurant and one we'd all highly recommend!

A $30 bottle of wine they charged 140. the food including the chicken and the fish were very very dry. Some of the fingerling potatoes were not edible because they were burned. Altogether, I spent $350 on a meal That one can easily get for the price of around $80

I’d rank this as probably one of the most underwhelming overly priced meals I’ve had in recent memory. I ordered the scallop, trout, with a side of mashed potatoes. All of which I understand are restaurant regulars.

First, The scallops were just your average slightly overcooked scallops. I do give the chef credit for not completely overcooking them so at least he was paying attention but they were overcooked nonetheless.

Second, The side of mashed potatoes was just simply just that. Boiled potatoes that were mashed plus some salt.

Finally, what I mostly feel bad about is the trout. The poor trout. Other than the fact that it was dry and overcooked, it lacked taste. It comes with what’s claimed to be walnut sauce, but it had no real flavor, albeit colorful. It was just there sitting in the dish (Pro tip: if you want the mashed potatoes to taste slightly better you can scoop up some of the sauce and put it on top of the potatoes. That seems to help). In the end I can’t help but feel remorseful for the poor trout that had to give up its life to be cooked this way.

Parts of the ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe is under renovation now in June 2024 and the only available restaurant at the time of visit was manzanita. We had a table outside, which has very nice view to mountain. The food was good. I had a burger that has good size patty with toppings. The portion was large. The brisket nacho was ok. The guacamole on the nacho was great.

We took a gondola to the Ritz to have dinner here celebrating our honeymoon, and the service was exceptional! We ordered a couple cocktails, the lobster fettuccini, cherry trout and mashed potatoes and all were so delicious. We were seated and greeted immediately with 2 glasses of rosé, followed by a salmon amuse bouche, and finishing with a lovely NY cheesecake to celebrate us - so unexpected but very appreciated, it truly made our experience special. Thank you so much for treating us so well!

Have eaten at lots of Michelins. This was flat-out a stunningly wonderful meal completely in that class. Visually beautiful. Incredible small ingredient touches around the edges of dishes. The execution on two different fish dishes was flawless. One of the best amuse-bouches we have had. Candidly, this was unexpected at a hotel restaurant where we had eaten previously - a huge upgrade. Kudos to all of you

My family and I visited The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe for dinner at Manzanita for my birthday this year. In the off-season, this high end ski resort is a peaceful place to dine, free of the swarms of hungry skiers and snowboarders. It was an enjoyable experience, luxurious being the first word in my mind. The service was impeccable, our server Gabby was attentive and inviting, making sure our every need was taken care of. As a wine enthusiast, their list was beautifully curated with something for everybody, although curiously lacking a sherry selection for a place featuring Pacific-Northwest Mexican fusion. Featuring a seasonal menu that changes regularly, the scallops were a delight, served with wood fired carrots and butternut squash puree. And the salmon with a rice paper sprayed in spirulina was exceptional and made a beautiful lunch from the leftovers. The real touch for me was the plate of mini macarons they served for dessert, served on a plate with a hand piped, "Happy Birthday." Needless to say, I cannot wait to go back.

We stopped at Manzanita for an after dinner dessert and drinks. Starting for the beautiful ride on the gondola under the stars all the way to the outstanding decor and service at Manzanita - we loved the experience! And look forward to book it for dinner! The kitchen is in full view. Their cellar spectacular! We even found Tocai!

Sub-par. Not sure why this restaurant is in a Ritz Carlton.

This Ritz Carlton is very different from the one in Beaver Creek. Very quiet, family oriented, and not much is happening après-ski.The good, you have the whole bar to yourself until the dinner crowd kicks in. An awesome spot to wait out the traffic and casual chat with the Argentinian staff. Drinks are good and the chili is worth the money when compared to the others in the resort. They also have a mini buffet for kids. I wish I was one, but I wouldn't be able to enjoy the vesper nor 1493, and it's worth it!The bad, the reason it's quiet is because the location is rather hidden. Not near the base of any chairlift. You can only access either via the beginner lift or the gondola to get there. The ugly, price is $$$$$$$. You will need to be able to stomach the price to fill your stomach!
