Made a quick breakfast stop in Truckee at this cute cafe. They had seating out side and 3 booths were open in the inside(It was my first time dining in a restaurant since quarantine). We already told my parents about this place and they plan on going when they go to Donner in November with some family friends.

Went here for breakfast and it was delicious. I had the Brie and Mushroom omelet. I truly understand savory and sweet now. The Brie and mushrooms with raspberry jam is sooo good! A potato cake and toast came with the omelet. The potato cake was cooked perfectly. It was crisp on the outside and tender (not mushy) on the inside. We are inside with spaced out tables. Servers were attentive. Overall a fantastic experience. This will be our go to for breakfast in Truckee!

I picked up take out at Marty's on October 17th. The staff was NOT adequately masked for Covid. The manager at the register wore no mask. The cooks did not either and a server wore hers below her nose (after I pointed that out, she pulled her mask up and then DOWN again). I was very disappointed to see this obvious lack of care towards their customers.Food was meh, eggs watery, toast burnt and potato puck undercooked.

Eggs Benedict was divine, the hollandaise sauce is just the best out there! My husband got the breakfast burrito and it was massive and "one of the best burritos" he's ever had. Will frequent this place anytime we are in Lake Tahoe!

Our service person never wore a mask. Beware. Food is good. Nice breakfast. Manager take note. Public facing staff need to mask up in a tourist town with people from all over the world. This is absolutely crazy to protect her makeup by not wearing a mask anywhere in your restaurant, while handling our food, drinks, check.

5 stars for food 5 stars for our female server3 stars for Covid precautions I think we found the best place for breakfast in Truckee. Marty's Cafe has a great variety! We loved the fried egg sandwich and the mushroom and Brie omelet. The huevos rancheros was good too but enjoyed the first two much more. Sign up on the board for a table and wait till you are called. We were seated outside under the shelter. Hopefully the Covid issues experienced are temporary. The person escorting to the tables and doing some of the serving was maskless. Had a very flimsy mask around his neck. I mentioned it to the owner who said it was his last day and the server didn't seems to care but the owner he talked to him about it. The server put it on when coming by but immediately removed it when going another direction. Hopefully that is resolved in future visits.
Great service despite Covid-19 protocol . The food quality took me by surprise . The open-faced breakfast sandwich was a solid choice . The sloppy joe is worth a second visit and detour en route to your Tahoe camping trip .

We stumbled upon this place because there was an open parking spot right in front. And we sure got lucky. The food was spot on. Flavorful, it's not an average generic menu the food was very unique and full of flavor. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and Recommend it if you love runny eggs. Service was really good too.

Located in old town Truckee! We stopped here on our way to camping north in the Plumas Eureka State Park. There have outdoor dining open now during COVID. We ordered the mixed berry pancakes, sloppy joe, and a burger.
