Went with a big group and got our own room. Service and food were outstanding! The Onion Soup, the Scallops, the Duck, the Wagyu steak were all universally praised. We didn't have anything that wasn't great. A single server handled our group of 15 and was up to the task. She had help when serving the table, but did the rest pretty much solo and crushed it. Yes, we paid alot for it, but if you want a special meal with a big group you'd be hard pressed to do better than Moody's.

I accidentally stumbled into the Market (connected to the hotel) today during lunch time. I was so pleasantly surprised by the incredible food (truffle fries and chicken sandwich were to DIE FOR!), their incredible whisky collection, and the very friendly service. Love, love, love??We spent out 30th anniversary in Tahoe and stumbled on this gem. The staff was wonderful from the door to service. The food is delicious and their backstory is one be in awe of. I had the prized tomato soup and octopus which, were apps, didn't want a heavy dinner. Both were also decent portions and delish. Hubby had the ridiculous wagu steak, OMG!! Of course I had to help him? Highly recommend!!! Awesome cocktails accompanied our dinner.Thank you for making our celebration memorable!!

The restaurant was full so we ended up in the bar extension- Nobody’s market. We were able to order from the main menu anyhow. The cocktails were great, dessert was great, service was great as well, we will come back for sure!

i worked as a server/host for about 6 years- i really valued the restaurants i worked at. when i have a disappointing experience at a restaurant, i try not to leave yelp reviews because i want to actually help the restaurant.unfortunately, when one of the servers alters the tip on her receipt in her favor, i lose all respect for the establishment.my partner came in with our 2 year old for lunch, there was one other table sat while we were there. service was all around extremely slow- but the kicker was it taking 25 minutes for a CHILDRENS PASTA to come out, and then it was hot. children's food should be brought out room temp less than 15 mins after ordering.our SANDWICHES were ready about 35 mins after ordering, and the server had the bartender drop them off because she was so embarrassed about how long it took.then she didn't ask us how our food was, i flagged her down for another drink, and we boxed up our daughters food ourselves because she ate all her snacks waiting for lunch.just want to reiterate awful an institution is that encourages servers to alters tips in their favor.to our server, we tipped FIVE DOLLARS because your service was AWFUL. TIPS ARE A REPRESENTATION OF SERVICE PROVIDED.will never, ever come here again, and made sure to let our many friends in truckee know what happened as well.good luck.

Onion soup had alot of cheese maybe two tp of Onions. Tomato soup tasted like it came out of can. Sooo very ? never go back. Dirty table and surroundings.

The food is consistently amazing, the menu makes amall changes through the season to keep it fresh and interesting. The setting is elegant yet laid back, the service is on point with that easy going mountain vive. Live music and great cocktails round up nicely.
Made a reservation, waited for the table. then we were sat in the kids room bc I had 2 teenagers. Little did they realize the teens accounted for the largest parts of the bill (salmon, poutine, lamb shank). The crème brûlée tasted like they forgot the sugar and we had to send it back. I wouldn’t recommend or return. I’m glad they accommodate kids but putting them and others in a noisy penalty room kills the experience.
