Be careful with what you order. Any time I get something that isn't cooked well done, I get diarrhea. Definitely don't get anything raw. They need to practice hand washing. Vegetables need to be cooked to 165 degrees... well done. It seems like they don't understand this there. It seems like the issue is with not properly handling and washing raw ingredients. When asked about it, the owner tried to claim that I didn't know what temperature was the instant kill for vegetables... I seriously question their serve safe understanding. Owners threatened me, claiming that I had never been there and other ridiculous claims...

Friendly, nice owners! The Food is fantastic as well! My family recently had to go gluten free and I was SO excited to find fabulous food so close to home. I get to swing in to pick up my Meatless Monday's 3 course meal, and dinner is done for the night. Perfect place to go after picking up my kids from sports practice and know I've got a gluten free, locally sourced and tasty meal to feed the whole family. I buy organic and local myself, and enjoy supporting businesses that do the same.

My wife and I had been hiking the local trails all day and as it was getting late, were getting kinda cold. We started scouting around for some whole food plant based place to eat and luckily discovered Mountain Lotus Provisions and could not believe our luck. Got some hot Pho and it warmed us right up. Shoutout to Brian and Jesse for their kindness and service and for filling us in on the Meatless Monday Supper Club. We can't wait to try more of their plant based offerings in the future. Yes, it is a food truck, but on Monday’s they have a private, multi-course, vegan supper club inside. Mountain Lotus Provisions serves a delicious dive into American fusion with their “Bun Mi Burger” a flavorful and savory American twist on the French influenced, Vietnamese classic Bahn Mi. You will get a meaty vegan patty topped with thinly sliced carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, and a secret sauce. As badge of honor for finding a hidden gem like Mountain Lotus Provisions, treat yourself to some toasted coconut ice cream (vegan) at the truck right next to this one. Seriously- vegans, go here if you’re in Truckee/Tahoe! Lastly, there is plenty of shaded seating outside, and make sure to bring wet wipes for your hands because this burger is too good it might leave your hands a mess. My go-to for healthy, vegan and super tasty food served by friendly and helpful staff. They have a little outdoor garden area and you can eat your yummy food to the tranquil sound of the river. Easy to walk to from downtown. Worth a special trip.

My husband and I both eat meat, but we love vegetables. We ordered the Loco Moco and Bun Mi Burger. Both meals were delicious! We will be back to this food truck with great friendly service and a cute and comfortable seating area when we're in town.
The tempura tofu on the ramen is absolutely amazing!!! I don't mind tofu, but I've never had delicious crave-worthy tofu like this. It's a must try just for that! Our whole family raved about dinner from their food truck at Kings Beach on a Friday night. Great quality food made quickly with friendly service and fair prices. Highly recommend!!!

I am not vegan and typically find it hard to give up on meat but the burger and the rice dish were really good and well spiced. Avocado toast was delicious however not really my type of food for lunch more a breakfast item. The spring rolls were fresh however a bit blend even with the dipping sauce. The drinks were okay but wouldn't try them again. Would love to have a tiny bit more selection. Service super friendly and quick and thumbs up for the fusion flavors. Also very cute sit down ambiance with the river right next to the seating area - making it feel really relaxing hearing the water flow. :)

Spring 2023 quick update: They're moving away from Beyond products and switching to more real, minimally-processed, whole-food protein 100%. Already my favorite place in town, I couldn't be more thrilled! Just hoovered up some delicious housemade chickpea "meat"ball Mee Bakso soup for this Meatless Mondays. My veggie and omni friend agree, Ray is bringing it right. Looking forward to chilling next to the creek this summer at their beautiful outdoor seating! Winter 2023 review: Once again doing regular hours at their homebase. I'm not a huge fan of their current menu as I don't really care for Beyond patties or eggs. However, they're also doing an order-in-advance vegan "Meatless Mondays" rotating menu which is super delicious. Occasionally some Beyond protein, but also lots of the more "real food" ingredients I prefer like tofu, jackfruit and such. Everything has been spot-on, week after week. Summer 2022 review: They're at Truckee Thursdays this year, which is great. Sadly, I'm not a huge fan of the menu updates. They switched from field roast to beyond for their protein which is a big downgrade if you ask me, and two of the four dishes on the menu have egg (which yes, I'm sure they would omit). I also tried the final menu item without egg or a beyond patty: tomato soup and a grilled (vegan) cheese. The soup was really top-notch and amazing, rich flavor. I'm not usually price or portion-size sensitive at all but $15 or whatever plus tip did seem a bit steep for a rather small cup of soup and two triangles of grilled bread from a food truck. A bigger cup of soup would have helped a lot. I'll try the other options before the summer is up, and this is the most veg-friendly offering at Thursdays in years, but sadly I'm quite a bit less stoked about their food than I was last season.
