RAKKAN Ramen - Truckee

Ordered the Quartz vegan ramen with added corn. Was first served with a soft boiled egg by mistake and although I was told it was remade I doubt it based on the temperature of the ramen when it finally arrived. Overall the ramen was good with a decent amount of toppings and the creamy broth was tasty. Next time I would go spicy.

I placed an order just before a power outage, but the restaurant locked the doors, and we never received our food. Despite reaching out multiple times to both the store and their headquarters, we were forced to dispute the charge. Surprisingly, they contested the dispute, claiming we had received our order. This handling of the situation is deeply disappointing and falls far short of acceptable customer service standards.

Delightful dining experience at RAKKAN Ramen. Located in the same shopping plaza as Raley’s and Ace in Truckee, the ramen soup here is very flavorful and the noodle texture was perfect. Sliced pork was not bad, and the spicy cucumber was good. Since parking lot is shared, it can be harder to find parking on the busy weekends. Fast and friendly service.

Tasty ramen. I thought the broth was quite good, though a touch too oily for my taste. My one critique is that my bowl was very light on the toppings, just a few small pieces of broccolini, small piece of chicken and half an egg. It felt a bit pricey for just broth and noodles, but would be worth it if they were a bit more generous with the other ingredients.

I loved the vegan broth options! Glad we could find a place that has more vegan friendly broth and toppings! Our server Jeraldine was awesome and she took care of our complicated order due to our food allergies! We will be back again!

Even though we were right in the counter (first in the line) where it says “please wait to be seated”, no one really attended us. They were highly understaffed and unprofessional. After what felt like a 30min wait by the counter, we were at least given a table. We were ready to order , again nobody to attend us. After almost 30 min wait time, our entree dish arrived. The staff just wanted a hefty tip.
For that service? absolutely NO.
When she saw the tip amount, she literally yelled that they deserved more in front of everyone. I think the Customer decides how good the service was, and not themselves. And it is totally a customer’s choice !! I would rather give zero star for their service, but anyways.

Talking about the food, I was excited about the number of vegan options, but to my utter disappointment the ramen was bland and watery. We had 3 types of ramen and a vegan entree gyoza . Entree was good., the ramen was average and not to my taste. Honestly I have tried much better ramen.

Long wait time, highly understaffed, inefficient staff with fake gestures for tip!!
Talking about the vegan ramen- BLAND., felt something was missing.
The staff there were rude .. if not tipped according to their standards.

My and my friends went on Sunday. Honestly we felt discriminated by the waitress (blonde one). We waited outside until someone from the kitchen came out asking if we were ok and spoke to the blonde waitress to assist us. It’s a good place good food. Shame on the service.
