Sierra Bakehouse

Wow!!!!!! This is my 3rd time at Sierra Bakehouse — so fun and phenomenal. Today I tried their pretzel with spicy cheese sauce and their eggplant, tomato, onion calzone… best lunch ever. (Be sure to warm them up) looking forward to the other treats I have in my box. Go, enjoy! Purchase for a friend🌷

This is a local “secret” that unfortunately too many know about. They are only open on Friday starting at 8:00 am. But the line forms before that. You can get on an email to read about that week’s specials.
I make a list and bring it along with containers that get filled with goodies.
What they make varies from week to week depending upon what is fresh to with and their moods.

Every time I visit Truckee, I try to make sure I’m there on Friday so I can go get my pastry fix at Sierra Bakehouse. Everything we have purchased from pastries, cookies, bread and all the savory options, have been delicious. So fresh and just yummy. Staff is efficient, helpful and friendly. It’s worth getting up early to grab a spot in line.

Incredible pastries! Loved the lavender strawberry roll and the hand pies.

This place is just awesome. Very unique pastry combinations. We especially love their Raspberry linzer bars, granola, quiche. Oh their porridge bread is amazing too. Ganache brownies are amazing too. Well worth waiting in line for!

The word Unique barely scratch’s the surface with this place, the flavours that come from their goods both sweet and savoury are beyond any other bakery. You wait in line because it’s worth it! Truly a special place!

The most amazing bakery, with creative and delicious pastries, breads and sandwiches. Everything was made perfectly! I would highly recommend.

Amazing pop up bakery with the best canales, bread, bars…basically everything. Always something new each week. Worth the wait and the higher prices.

Great baked goods. Especially love their savory items. Only open on Fridays and always look forward to seeing what they offer. And the coffee place next door makes it a complete morning

This is the place to get bakery in Truckee. I don't have enough words to different hour good is this business! Everything is fresh, tastes fantastic, stuff is super friendly!

On Thursdays I begin salivating in anticipation for their Friday menu to post. Then every Friday morning I load up with a week's worth of their goodies - sourdough, croissants, cookies, pizza - the list is never ending!!Unfortunately, I find that my Friday morning haul barely lasts a full day before it completely disappears. By Saturday morning I find myself counting down the days until its Friday again...
