Much smaller than the mud hill stop. Very limited menu (bbq pork or brisket on tatertots or a bbq sandwich. $20-22 each. Limited seating, tight with all the gear. BUT it is at the top of the mountain. From outside you have a great pandemic view of what must be lake Tahoe.

Nice place for a quick bite, they do have a pretty good barbecue sandwich. However the seating is pretty limited. So you need to get there early or have a late lunch. Because it is so small it's not really a place to relax after lunch I'd recommend their other lodge. However they do have a little bar on the side where you could order beer, drinks etc.

They will sell you food but offer no place to sit and even chase you away from your table (while you're still eating) if they feel like folding them.
Food was very tasty but was cold. Very expensive even with a 20% discount for Epic pass holders

When I asked if the sandwich ($24) came with fries the cashier said it had tater tots, so I ordered it, only come home to find out a $30 bill - only explanation is the tater tot is extra. Insincere service and a price trap, doom yourself Epic👎

Sitting at the top of the mountain, this is a convenient lodge to stop at. You can then hit any of the runs except Lookout starting from here. Decent size restrooms. The venue has shrunk this year (24-25 season) due to the “temporary” additional covered seating area collapsing under snow last season. Even midweek seating indoors was tight. We just got some drinks from the bar. The food at Zephyr lodge seemed more appealing.
