Delicious. Delectable. Hubby had street tacos (tongue and stomach), boys had carnitas super quesadilla, mom had chile verde burrito a la carte (I really don't need rice and beans on the side), washed down with horchata. The whole family demolished the side of chips and Pico de Gallo ($2.50 I think, but worth it). My burrito was copiously drizzled with yummy green sauce and had big chunks of pork nestled in its folds, and a chunk of lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and chopped tomatoes on the side. So good. Not overloaded with rice and beans (maybe there wasn't any... and it was tastier perhaps because they were missing!) And for only $9.99 - seriously inflation fighting and not a price tag I have seen in the Bay Area in awhile (and since prices are sticky, a price will never see again... Oh woe is me). Nice ambiance too.

Amazing food. Chicken burrito was so good I had to order another for takeout during my ski trip the next day.

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant! Is a must-visit every time I visit Truckee. Food is authentic and prices are reasonable.

Every time I come here, I end up disappointed with their service, their food quality, and their portions.Every single time, no matter what i order, I have to always ask for extra meat and pay for it, but not even by doing that, they wouldn't serve the extra portion.I don't necessarily know what their portions are supposed to look like. But I've been to the oder locations at lemonvalley and reno, and they are completely different compared to the Truckee location.Today, I ordered a torta ahogada with xtra meat... they literally gave me a torta with nothing but extra beans, so I paid 27 dollars for a torta full of beans..... that also happened every time i ordered their tacos, ceviches, cocktails, and every single thing I've ordered before....I tried to give them a chance, but on top of my disappointment with their portions, their food isn't even fresh, and not to mention their lack of customer service....Definitely nothing close to their Lemon Valley location, and definitely not coming back to this location.

Okayish Taco spot. Nothing great. Authentic at best. No decent vegetarian option. Over priced. Guac didn’t have any salt.

After I gave them a 30% tip, they were rude and charged me for extra tortillas. Never coming back

Just great all around. The Al Pastor is a go to. Wash it all down with a Victoria beer. This place is a gem.

So, picture this: I waltzed into Tacos Jalisco, all excited like a kid in a candy store. I ordered a torta sandwich, expecting it to be the bee's knees, but guess what? It was soggy and uninspired! It was like biting into a wet sponge. I mean, come on, Tacos Jalisco, you gotta step up your torta game! Maybe they accidentally dunked it in the fountain of mediocrity. And then my partner, Miss Vegan Extraordinaire, decided to go for a vegan burrito bowl. Now, you'd think that a vegan option would be all rainbows and unicorns, right? Wrong! They slapped a dollop of sour cream on that poor burrito bowl, despite my partner having a lengthy discussion with the cashier about her milk and meat restrictions. It's like they were playing a game of "Let's Confuse the Vegans!" Now, let's talk about the service. It was like a whirlwind! The staff was overwhelmed, with the line running through the dining room. But hey, at least they were fast! Maybe a little too fast. I half-expected them to break into a tap dance routine while taking our orders. So, in summary, Tacos Jalisco, you've got some work to do. Step up your torta game, keep the vegans happy, and maybe teach your staff a calming yoga pose or two. And remember, folks, life is like a taco--sometimes it's messy, but it's always delicious!
