Tangerine French Bistro

Amazing French place with $85 tasting menu that was one of my FACEIT’s tasting menus I’ve ever had - and the staff obviously was really focused on making sure patrons have a great experience. I’m recommending this place to everyone I know.

We had a lovely Anniversary dinner. The comped ravioli dish was soooo good and very much appreciated. All around lovely presented and delicious food from the escargot to the cassoulet to the bistro burger and fries. Took us back to our honeymoon in the south of France almost 9 years ago!
Shannon is a wonderful server. Perfect amount of attentiveness while letting us enjoy our meal. As a long time industry vet watching the level of service deteriorate over the last few years this really is refreshing to see. Is it pricey? Yes, but you get what you pay for...and it's worth every penny.

Not a Francophile but this is a mountain heartland brasserie that deserves to live on. We overstayed our welcome but you’d never know it, and we came away with a real sense of why we all live here, and why this town is magical. Randall and Tabitha embodied everything we came to celebrate. Birthdays and milestones, yes, but also a hope that this is a place for dreamers and people that do things, everyday, to make things a little better for all. Thank you for everything. We will be back!

While looking for places to celebrate our wedding anniversary during our visit to North Lake Tahoe, Tangerine popped up as one of the best restaurants in the area. So we decided to make the beautiful 20ish minute drive over to Truckee and I’m so glad we did! We loved the food, service and vibe. A great place to visit if looking for an elevated restaurant experience in the Tahoe area. If you get to town early you can enjoy a drink at the Tavern overlooking DT Truckee.

Went there for a groomed dinner and the staff was exceptional. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was outstanding! The staff were excellent with our young kids and ensuring they were cared for as well. Would absolutely come here again!

The tasting menu was great, including the wine pairing. Sadly I had nowhere to place my purse in the far bathroom. Pretty gross, right? So so bizarre for such a nice restaurant. How hard is it to put a hook on the wall?

This is a really really good restaurant but it's not cheap either. The happy hour burger said it had tomato jam but it actually had a huge slice of a heirloom tomato on it. The happy hour seems like a good idea for beer and wine. This restaurant is owned by the same outfit that owns great gold in Truckee and I think I personally like great gold better!!!

Food was uninspired. Bartender was terrific. Prices remain a bit high. Then you have to add the employee Healthcare surcharge

This is a lovely bistro with a European vibe. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our server was at our table in a few minutes. The drinks selection is excellent, with interesting and unique selections. The menu is fabulous, French-based, and something for everyone. My husband had the Ravioles du Dauphiné, with shaved black truffles, and it was superb. I had the Rainbow Trout, perfectly cooked. We shared the haricots verts, delicious with butter and almonds. We split a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was served with vanilla ice cream and basil. Service throughout the meal was exceptional. A perfect dinner!
