food and drinks were great but our experience was made excellent because of our server Alex. He went above and beyond and we would be happy to dine with him any day.
Servers were friendly and food was fine, if a bit pricy.
If you eat here, don’t forget that the 20% tip is included in the bill! Apparently it’s on the menu but I missed this.
I didn’t look at the check carefully since I was engaged in conversation with my group and the server didn’t mention that the 20% was included when the check was given to me.
I added an additional tip and the server was happy to accept that without any notice to me. Was it my mistake? Definitely! Live and learn.
Was it still bad customer service to see a 40%+ tip and not at least check with the guest? Yes, I think so, but you can be the judge.

The space is cozy and the high ceilings add that little extra thing.
The food is pretty good. The chef has strong opinions and goes for some odd taste combinations but it is the Ritz so I get it and approve.
The service is a hot mess. The humans serving are friendly and trying their best but are overwhelmed and overrun. You enter and every 5th table isn't cleared from the last guests. You find a free table and then the lottery begins - without waving people down or waiting 25+ minutes: Will you get a menu? Will your order be taken? Will your appetizers, soup/salads and mains arrive at the correct time and not all at once? Will your water be refilled? Will the check come to you or will you need to flag someone down?
Just about all of those for our evening were "no".
I've not written a negative review before and feel a bit dirty doing it now but man, it is supposed to be the ritz, you are supposed to pay through the nose for immaculate service and experiences. If you decide to go...plan for legit 2.5 to 3.5 hours to get all the way through and for the flow of the whole thing to be disrupted at every turn, making it hard to enjoy and generally exasperating.

Super cozy in the winter - watching everyone ski. Food is pushing very very basic. Like. Basic. Almost ballpark /concession stand. Prices are also like a baseball game; $22 appetizers and $42 “meals” (sandwich). Service is SLOW. This is for hotel guests who have no where else to go. If you are an outside guest, expect 30min to receive the check in hand after asking.

Do not order the espresso martini, pretty sure it was the worst I’ve ever had. We told a bartender if they could kindly give my girlfriend a new drink and took them 30 min even though there were more workers then customers.

Great place rode the gondola up from North Star village. Our server Max was amazing! Food was great, atmosphere amazing. Definitely good place after a long day of skiing kids loved it too. Drinks were amazing too. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off. Definitely come here and enjoy good food, drinks and atmosphere. It’s pricy but it’s the Ritz sooooooo.
Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it. They also know how to behave in a nice restaurant.

The Living Room has a nice ambience and the layout is inviting and warm. The food was mostly good: we enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich, the brisket nachos, and the Caesar salad. However, we were surprised by the lack of vegan options. There are a few vegetarian dishes, but only one could be made vegan. There were also some missing components of some dishes: the farro bowl came without pecans and the cauliflower bites came without the sweet pepper gel.Our food took a very long time to come and one starter never arrived. The waiter was friendly, but disappeared in the end and after another long wait, we had to flag someone else for the check. We found the overall experience good as far as food and ambience, but disappointing as far as the wait and lack of vegan choices.

Guys we need to talk about the food and the coffee situation….After eating at the living room over the course of several years I had to finally face and confront these issues that I keep experiencing and I think I’ve finally realized the issue. After talking it over with my partner we both come to the realization that everything on the menu is some form of gluten free or vegan unless ordering the obvious meat dish. But everything down to the easy crowd pleasers like French fries and can’t go wrong hot chocolates are not pleasers at all. The french fries and hot chocolates both have such bizarre and unpleasant flavor that we’ve had to accept and realize our defeat on the ritz food. And guys it’s a nightmare! However, if we manage to escape the nightmare and get to the village, we find refuge at the pizza place where all is well in the world. And now the coffee situation. Coffee is simply essential and in the mornings everyone needs a spiritual steaming cup but this is hard to access. Nespresso machines in the rooms do not give this and I have a machine at home but the only way I enjoy my machine at home is with milky companions fresh from the fridge but the room just gives those awful pod creamers and it just ruins the experience at a spiritual cup. But if you get coffee down at the cafe, the cost is extortion and the accessibility feels disconnected. How does anyone get from room to slopes or from room to road?Thank you, that is all.
