Chef Danny McCabe nailed it at this casual cafe. The Booyah Bowl, South of the Border Sandwich, Kombucha, kids options... everything is right on point! The thoughtful flavor combinations and simplicity of the menu form the ideal juxtaposition for an outstanding, quick healthy lunch or dinner. This is our family's favorite quick, casual dining in Truckee.

I can't say enough good things about this place. My favorite spot in Truckee, such good quality, healthy food. You must have lunch here, they had the best oat milk matcha latte I've ever had! Highly recommend

The food is amazing. I always go with the Bahn-Mi sandwich or the steak sandwich. They are both incredible, so it's always hard to choose. They are so good that I've never tried anything else on the menu. The meat is tender and tasty. The sauce is delicious. High quality ingredients. Even the roll that the sandwich comes on is fresh and incredible! Toasted to perfection, everytime. And the customer service, Wow! Let me tell you what, for a"casual" dining experience, it sure felt like a full 69 star Michelin restaurant!I wish there was 69 stars on the rating system, because this place deserves 69 out of 69. But Google only allows 5 (lame).Tabitha and Danny were the best!! Mind blowing ? customer service! Just wow! You gotta try this place... It feels like a dream, but no: it's a reality: and it's right here in Truckee, CA USA! God bless America!

Delicious vegan food!!! Very helpful and kind staff. It was very slow when we visited, the server brought our food outside where we sat and admired the scenery. We had their fresh kombucha on tap, it was very light and refreshing, not at all too sweet or too bitter, like some.We got the coco curry bowl which honestly reminded me of mac and cheese, not the flavor as much as the comfort the food brought. Amazing tofu!! The pieces were giant and crispy on the outside, not rubbery or chewy inside. We really were impressed by the food, but the additional highlight was THE PLACE IS OPEN BETWEEN 2-5pm!! We arrived just before 2pm into town, exhausted and starving, and everywhere else nearby closed between lunch and dinner. It makes sense based on the lack of people there when we stopped in, but please tell the owner THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts, I needed a snickers I was so grumpy, but The Station honestly made everything alright again.

Wonderful Food. We 3 had Curry Quinoa Bowl, Aloha Bowl, and Coco Curry Noodles. All three dishes were excellent! Fresh, healthy ingredients and creative, yummy combinations. Great for Whole Foodies. This place should be #1. You won't be disappointed

Got the Summer Salad with added protein, avocado, and egg. Best salad in town. The cold brew and iced tea are awesome too.

Came here with high hopes and was incredibly disappointed. It's really hard to find good vegetarian food, and this place had such stellar reviews on yelp-- raving about its healthy and affordable vegan and vegetarian options. We vegetarians all know that no matter how much they try to market themselves as "quick, healthy and affordable," places like this are always on the pricier side. Truckee Station, however, is a complete rip off. 26 dollars (not including the cash tip I left) for one noodle bowl and a single cup of iced tea. Completely ridiculous. It was a 5 dollar additional charge for 6 tiny pieces of tofu added to a meal with no protein, and another 5 dollars on top of that for a cup of totally bland iced tea (no refills). On top of that I waited more than 45 minutes for my meal to even be prepared. It was incredibly busy, there were a huge number of customers with only three people on shift-- why? I just don't understand the appeal of a $30 lunch that still leaves you hungry. The service was decent, which is the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. The server was apologetic about the wait and for bringing me my meal in a to go container instead of dining in. She came back to check on me and her other customers frequently, but there really isn't much to be helped when the entire business model of a place relies on overcharging for everything. I have no idea why the reviews here are so outstanding, The food was just ok, and a little over salted if I'm being perfectly honest-- not that great, and definitely not worth how much they're charging for it. The trust fund hipster crowd can keep this place, I'll be getting my lunch somewhere else next time.

Bad bad bad. Outrageous prices and bland tasting dishes. The healthful attempt and promotion of vegan based creations over-hypes the menu and leaves you with nothing more than a stomach ache and an overpriced meal you could easily replicate in your kitchen. "Health food" shouldn't be cooked in highly processed oil which is what it tasted like. Save your coin because the prices here are equivalent to some of Truckee's best dinning in Cottonwood, Moody's, and Pianeta's-all places I'd rather spend $90 for three items at.

The Truckee Station is the place to go if you are a vegetarian ( or Vegan) as they have healthy, yummy and satisfying meals. I also love their kombucha on tap.

I've been coming to Truckee Station for pickup and/or ordering their take-home dinners for about a year, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Love the people, the service, the food. They use quality ingredients and everything is fresh. I especially appreciate the array of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options!

Great food and affordable. Gave it 4 stars because they can't change the dressing on a meal and the refills on iced tea cost $2.50

I was planning to eat at Morgan's Fish, but they were closed due to personal business. Since I'd already paid for parking (grumble, grumble), I decided to just go to somewhere near my parking spot. The Station is eclectic, in décor and menu. I had the Aloha bowl and really liked it, although it certainly did not need so much rice or the jalapenos! The service was friendly, but quite slow. Given the same circumstances, I would eat there again, but I'd rather go to the fish joint across the way.

Great variety of vegan/vegetarian options, with dairy-free and gluten-free options clearly marked.

Came here for lunch while on a business trip. They were super busy and only had one server. She was so pleasant while serving a big rush of people; totally poised. I waited a while for my food, but it was crazy busy so waiting was no big deal and it was totally worth the wait. The Buddha Bowl and an iced tea were the perfect mid lunch. The serving was so huge, I had enough leftovers for dinner.
