I drove from Reno and my friend from Auburn and we met at Wong's for dinner at 8:35 Despite posted hours on the door and on Google they were closed and employees would not open the door. We ended up eating Sandos at the pub.

Hoping for some American Chinese comfort food I ordered the General Chicken lunch special, it was so soggy and mushy I could only eat two bites. Panda Express is better and that’s a low bar.

The staffs are friendly. There is a lunch special menu that offers a lot of spicy and non-spicy dishes. I saw other customers’ plates and there appeared to be a lot of food with the lunch special. We opted to select individual entrees: War Wonton Soup, Kung Pao Chicken and extra spicy Beef Chow Fun. The beef chow fun and the kung pao chicken had the “wok hey”. We will definitely come back next time when we are in Truckee.

Great Chinese food. Lemon chicken was just like we prefer, smaller cut chicken pieces. Vegetable chow mein had a lot of vegetables! Will definitely be back.
They are so nice, and their food is delicious. They messed up on my order once and got me a free meal the next time I came in. Thanks Wongs Garden!

I will never darken the door step of Wong's Garden ever again. The table was sticky. The food was bland. The condiments on the table were depleted or not supplied. I felt the place was dirty. They were out of three food items I wanted. I would have left, I was with a friend that wanted to eat there. I did not finish my meal. I tossed it in the trash when I got home.

I’m telling you all. DO NOT EAT HERE! Period. It may be the only Chinese in truckee. But you take a good chance of getting sick. Ate their food and it wasn’t pleasant for 2 days. It wrecked me. Never. Ever again. They will we gone soon. Maybe they can change. But the empty aquarium that’s covered in mold and smells might tell you something.
