Terrible food. Barely edible.

Food was edible but barely warm. They must have made it ahead of time but at least they didn’t over cook the vegetables! Slow service with only 2 tables occupied, pretty sad for a SaturdayIt took forever to get our food, Togo containers and our bill. The restaurant was dark with a huge dirty unoccupied fish tank above the booths. It looked like the front half of the restaurant was used as storage We won’t be going back.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a huge disappointment. The noodles in the vegetable chowmein were way overcooked and just didn't taste good. The vegetables also overcooked were void of asian vegetables like basic snow peas. The veg rice didn't taste good to me. The sweet and sour chicken was fine. Over all not my cup of tea. The search for good Chinese food continues.

The food was extremely good, and we ordered all types of dishes, so the overall quality was high. The only problem was service. There is one waiter, and she always picked up the phone for pickup. It doesn’t feel right that this restaurant has a 3.9 rating, definitely recommend!

First time and Wongs Garden did not disappoint. We ordered the sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, chicken fried rice, vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. The Mongolian beef was tender and the sesame chicken was flavorful. We’ll definitely be back!

Im writing this reminiscing about how incredible the food was here. I got a plethora of food and every single dish was cooked to perfection. The dumplings were the best I've ever had with a perfect dough and a filling that's guaranteed to satisfy. I am not a local however I will be coming to this restaurant as soon as I'm back in town until then I'll be longing. Best Chinese I've ever had.

If you value your time, do not go to this place. 1 hour and 10 mins to get one dish and fried rice. Ridiculous.

The wonton and warton wonton soup (pork, chicken, shrimp, veggies, wontons, the works) brought me back to the tastes of classic New York Cantonese Chinese food memories. They were also flexible in changing sauces as requested on some dishes. We're only here for 3 months, so this will be a takeout staple!

Every town should have a go to so called Chinese restaurant. This is our version. It use to be everything you'd expect a shit ass low end joint. It's gone so downhill in quantity but even worse, quality. If it's bad at least give me a lot of it? No fortune cookies, sauce, unless you axe specifically. Two Stars because they are better than Panda Express but the race is on!

Very nice workers! They only had 3 people working, but managed to get us our food and were very eager to serve. The food was delicious.

We're looking for Chinese food in the area. We really weren't expecting much, after looking at the reviews. But, the food was really good!! I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for something filling, and not fast food.

I witnessed the restaurant employees harass a customer today after the credit card machine was broken. Their behavior was very scary to see. I will not be returning.

First off, we had very LOW expectations coming here after reading the Yelp reviews. (I also know many people only write reviews when they are dissatisfied.) That being said, we all wanted Chinese food that wasn't Panda Express, and this seemed like the best (and only) option during our Truckee vacation. When we arrived we were told by the lady in the front to sit at a table and that she'd be with us in 7 minutes because she had other orders ahead of ours. Ok...? We'll the menu is extensive and there is definitely something for everyone, which is nice. All of the traditional Chinese dishes are listed. When we placed our order, we wanted both a bowl of hot and sour soup and a bowl of egg drop soup to share amongst our family of 4. The waitress told us they could only make one type of soup and we had to pick one. Ok...? So we ordered the egg drop soup and an order of egg rolls. They came out fairly quickly and all were very delicious. The egg drop soup was a tad bland (I really wanted hot and sour soup) but I added some chili sauce that they brought out and it gave it a nice little kick. When the food arrived, we were VERY impressed. The pictures in the menu do NOT do it justice. The orange chicken was so flavorful and delicious, with tender chunks of chicken and not too much breading. We also ordered Broccoli Beef, Chicken with Vegetables, and Walnut Shrimp. (They were out of walnuts so the waitress asked if we wanted almonds or cashew instead.) Kinda random but it was fine. Our kids (15 & 13 yo) loved the food and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised (and relieved!) We left full and happy. I only give this restaurant 4 stars because the service was somewhat poor (blunt waitress, did not check on us, didn't accommodate our request for two soups) , and the ambience is old and very run down. However, if you're not a stickler for ambience or service, and just want a good meal, don't pass this spot up the next time you're in Truckee. We would definitely eat here again!
