Zano's Family Italian & Pizzeria

Zano's provided family sized portions of Eggplant Parmiaga, Sausage Lasagna, and Spaghetti Bolognese, Caesar Salad, and Garlic Cheese Bread. They were a big hit and we had leftovers to boot for 26 party goers. Austin, the owner was super helpful. We have a place in Truckee so they'll be our go-to restaurant for apres skiing parties for sure.

Family owned cheers type of atmosphere. I ordered a small pizza and they brought a medium because the couldn't find a small serving tray. Still charged me for a small. I stop there every time I go through. The pizza was tremendous, delicious and everything you want it to be. They have a great Italian menu but I'm so hooked on the pizza I haven't tried anything else. Guess next time I'll order the pizza to go and try a menu item. 5Star

It's kind of an old place inside with okay food. Pricey what kind of food they serve you. Also, one server for the whole restaurant.

We had the Alfredo chicken pasta and a pizza... And it was the best Alfredo chicken we ever had!!! And their pizza was superb... I drool just thinking about it. ?

Got sit right away at 6pm. Then waited 45 mins for a ravioli and 20 more for one pizza. Ravioli was ridiculously salty. Pepperoni pizza was ok. Server didn't even bother to offer some bread or refill drinks. Same thing happening to tables around us. Not coming back.

It took over 1 hour for the food to arrive. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. Adults for their food first and a simple pepperoni pizza for the kids arrived 15 mins later. We had to ask for some bread while waiting as we were starving.

Food was OK but the wait took all the enjoyment out of it. I won't be coming back.

The first timer, food, and service was great. Portions were satisfying for the price. I had a canzone, and the flavor was amazing. Fed me the next day. I recommend this restaurant highly. It's worth a stop while in the area.

If you look for a big portion, this is the place for you. If you care about the taste, try other restaurants. Big portion means more pricey for each dish. Service is bad here. All the waiters and waitresses look unhappy. Not sure whether their pays are low or they are over working.

After the long hike .Found this restaurant. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere . Service was a little bit slow but it gave us time to chat and enjoy the place . I also ordered a meat ball pizza . It was very good .May be I was so hungry

Have not been to Zano's in quite a few years. Went there with a friend sat on the patio and had wood fire pizza margherita with pine nuts, cold beer and a glass of house merlot. The house Merlot is made by the local winery Truckee River winery. Good food, drink, friendship, ambiance; a combination that is hard to beat. I gave it four stars across the board only to encourage improvement; I believe there's always room for improvement in all things. Cheers, happy dining and keep on Truckeeing.

We were part of a pary of apox 20 that had made advance reservations for lunch. Our party was seated and our meeting started. We were then informed by the host that if we were not eating pizza and salad that we couldn't stay with our group and was told that we had to be seated in the dining room.
When we tried to explain to her that we would sit at another table close to our group so that we could participate she got very rude and demanded us to take a table in the dining or that we would have to leave.
The whole ordeal was very confusing and made no sense at all to segregate us due to the fact that we only wanted something different from the menu besides pizza.
So my evaluation is that I have never been treated with such disrespect from a person that was supposed to be making our lunch meeting enjoyable and productive. In conclusion I do not enjoy posting negative reviews but I feel that this truth needed to be told.

Very good Italian food. We've never had the pizza, but their pasta is terrific! I had lasagne this time and it was just great.
