I was SO disappointed in the cappuccino from Zuri today, I asked the barista to remake it bc the first one tasted like they burnt the espresso, similar to starbucks.The second one was a little improvement but not a good cap by any means. Zuri used to be my favorite coffee in truckee. I met the owner and learned about how he imported italian beans roasted in switzerland. I do not like writing bad reviews at all. I am being honest about the quality I experienced today so there is space and awareness for improvement. The positives are friendly service, great ambiance, and food looked amazing.

Zuri Coffee is easily one of the best coffee spots around. The coffee is top-notch, and I love that they serve it in real mugs—not plastic cups full of chemicals like BPA. You can really taste the difference with the beans, which are imported straight from Europe. But what really sold me was the pastries. I had a German Apfelstrudel, and as someone who’s actually from Germany, I can tell you—it’s legit! The real thing, no shortcuts. If you want great coffee and a true European pastry experience, Zuri is the place to go. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even better.

A favorite coffee shop in Truckee—I make a point of stopping here whenever in town! Great coffee, gorgeous pastries and delicious lunch options. I love their avocado ? toast (you get two healthy portions for $11). The baristas are friendly and know how to foam a great cappuccino! ☕️

Definitely the best coffee shop in Truckee! Top notch establishment all around. Great coffee, great food and great service. I got my Machiatto espresso and my constantly knocked it on the ground. The gentleman working the counter saw it and promptly let me know he was going to make me a new one. He also came and helped clean up the mess. Every person I have interacted with here has been great. Highly recommend!

Zuri Coffee is a hidden gem! Break away from American style coffee shops and try a Swiss-run coffee house with a focus on quality. In addition to pastries, there is a large menu of creative sandwiches, salads, avocado toasts and more. The coffee is perfectly roasted. The bakery makes their pastries daily inhouse, apart from their croissants, which are imported from France. The service is exceptionally friendly, they even helped us select a nearby hiking trail to explore. There is comfortable seating, strong Wi-Fi and plenty of parking. The design of the space is curated with interesting light fixtures and design elements. We were just visiting the area and made to feel welcome!
