We started going to Zuri because the coffee is excellent & they make a perfect Flat White. Then one day I noticed the apple strudel, and bought a slice. It’s the most authentic strudel I have ever found, outside of Germany/Switz/Austria. So good! Today we ordered the steak sandwich, and I can’t believe I missed out on their food for so long! Everything is house made, fresh & delicious. We will now have to find excuses to head over to Truckee more often for coffee, pastries & lunch, or maybe that’s a good enough reason all by itself!

I really love this place. I've been coming since before meeting Werner, and it's always been leagues above any other coffee spot in town. The staff is always friendly, and from a simple bagel and cream cheese to a sandwich, it's all tasted great! The coffee is very flavorful, and a simple shot of their house espresso is one of my favorite orders!
A few things I really recommend are the Zuri Club, the cinnamon twist pastry, the pizza turnover, and the mocha!

i initially ordered their matcha latte and drip coffee. both were terrible. i asked to get something else for the matcha, and they gave me a power chai, or something like that. that was a lot better. customer service wasn’t very friendly tho.

Cute place but it was completely overwhelmed on a weekend with rude and poorly communicating staff. Took 40+ minutes for a simple breakfast sandwich takeout. Then, when we finally got the order after reminding staff multiple times, it was wrong. Won’t be returning.

I went early in the morning, and it was quite busy, but even with such a big crowd, I didn’t wait that long in line to order my coffee and food. I saw that they had baked goods, and some of them were gluten-free. I think it’s always nice to see dietary options, but I would definitely say if you’re celiac, I would not get the gluten-free just due to cross-contamination. I loved my coffee. I got a white mocha. Best white mocha I’ve had in such a long time. Their breakfast menu is amazing. I will definitely be going again.

Zuri Coffee Bar is easily the best coffee spot in Truckee. We’ve visited several coffee shops in the area, but nothing else comes close. The food is next-level—the panini was perfectly pressed with crisp, golden bread, and the Linzer tart was truly incredible (seriously, don’t skip it). Prices are super reasonable, and to top it all off, the staff is genuinely lovely and so appreciative. Warm atmosphere, fantastic food, and kind people—Zuri checks every box.

Why was this bagel almost $9? Only half had cream cheese, a few small slices of onion and a few capers. And the bagel was as thin as a slice of bread. Not worth it at all.
