Coming from a Mexican culture our food brings family's together through its bold and spicy flavors. Food to us needs to be all about flavor and let's not forget that our food is not complete unless accompanied by a spicy salsa and tortillas! I've passed through this place numerous of times and never had the time to stop in. Well today I'm glad I was lazy to cook and remembered about El Pollo Pio Pio. Their chicken has nothing on El Pollo Loco nor Sevans Chicken. Its full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I purchased the family special that consists of 2 whole chickens, 4 sides (rice, beans & coleslaw), HANDMADE tortillas and a salsa! Ok so for all this it was less than you would pay at any other places. I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this one was delish, their salsa was a little salty for my liking but definitely had all the flavors going. The rice and beans were also great in flavor. Overall I would rate this place a 9 out of 10. I think if they added avocado to their family special it would be all so much tasty and a 10 from me! But then again I love avocado with everything ? if you haven't already tried this place its a definite must. I will definitely be coming back!

I recommend this place the chicken is really good has a mild smokey flavor. Once you try this chicken it's like no other around , very unique. I give them a thumbs up. The coleslaw is delicious with a slight sweet taste to it. I don't really like coleslaw, yet having tried this one is by far the best I've tasted. The tortillas are freshly hand made. The salsa is delicious and a bit spicy. Give them a try if you want something unique flavorful Mexican chicken. Take out is a good option.Staff is very nice and pleasant as always. Definitely will be going back frequently

This Pollo Al Carbon is the best! It has such good flavor. After moving to Tujunga the closest I could get to pollo asado was Pollo Loco until I found this spot. I'm never going to Pollo Loco for a whole chicken or family meal again. I got 1 whole chicken with 2 sides (I asked for double rice) salsa, and HAND MADE TORTILLAS for $25. How cheap! This is definitely my new spot. Back where I lived I used to get Aiy Papa Que Rico but I think this spot tops it.

Parking will probably be the only downside. Walking up to the business you immediately can smell the chicken and you haven't even open the door yet. Ordered at ease and food was served quickly. Everything on this plate was delicious but the game changer was the tortilla hecho a mano!! The salsa isn't to spicy but has the perfect flavor for the chicken. Pollo pío Pío is definitely the best
I started eating before taking a picture!! Handmade tortillas. Salsa is bomb. Chicken breast was slightly dry but the thigh and wing were delicious! Beans and rice are phenomenal. I'm Mexican and I'm a harsh bean critic. These beans are so good!

The smell alone coming from the outside grill is enough to make you walk in and order. As a matter of fact that's what brought me in. Small place with enough tables and chairs to eat there. They're a small Mom & Pop shop and extremely friendly.Everything there is super flavorful and even have hand made tortillas. Let me just tell you, their homemade salsa is THEEEE BEST!! One time is all it will take to get you hooked. Do yourself a favor and come in for a taste. I guarantee you will love it.

Been going here since 2015, when I used to work close to this place. Their Chicken Burrito is so delicious ! Whole Chicken is really good too! I don't mind the drive for some delicious roasted chicken such as Pio-Pio's. Service is great, but limited street parking. Overall experience, GREAT!

This place serves the best grilled chicken in Los Angeles!The chickens are fresh made every time. They got a family recipe going it's just clean and delicious. Very good service. The young man on the register is always nice and polite. He also answers the phone sometimes.Definitely highly recommend this place.
