Coming from a Mexican culture our food brings family's together through its bold and spicy flavors. Food to us needs to be all about flavor and let's not forget that our food is not complete unless accompanied by a spicy salsa and tortillas! I've passed through this place numerous of times and never had the time to stop in. Well today I'm glad I was lazy to cook and remembered about El Pollo Pio Pio. I recommend this place the chicken is really good has a mild smokey flavor. Once you try this chicken it's like no other around , very unique. I give them a thumbs up. The coleslaw is delicious with a slight sweet taste to it. I don't really like coleslaw, yet having tried this one is by far the best I've tasted. The tortillas are freshly hand made. This Pollo Al Carbon is the best! It has such good flavor. After moving to Tujunga the closest I could get to pollo asado was Pollo Loco until I found this spot. I'm never going to Pollo Loco for a whole chicken or family meal again. I got 1 whole chicken with 2 sides (I asked for double rice) salsa, and HAND MADE TORTILLAS for $25. How cheap! This is definitely my new spot. Back where I lived I used to get Aiy Papa Que Rico but I think this spot tops it.
