“I have been coming here since I was a little child. To me they are better than zankou! They might have even opened up before them. The chicken is always delicious, tried and true. The garlic sauce always hits! I wish there were more locations, but definitely my favorite!“
“Provender: how's the chicken? Crispy and moist. I recommend getting your chicken sandwiches or wings from this joint. The wings are a decent size also. Prices: 10 wings will run you about $20. Seems pricey, but once you see and taste them, they'll seem worth it. Parking: they have a shared lot, and it's best to enter on Sherman Way. People: fun for all. Perks: they also offer hot dogs in addition to their sandwiches, strips, and wings. They have a wide variety of sauces, so you can order the original wings and get the sauce you enjoy best.“
“Such a great experience here! Place is exceptionally clean and the service is quick. It was my first time at Dave's and Jessie the cashier answered all of my questions. The chicken was tender and crispy, just the way it's supposed to be. I'll be back the next time i'm in Burbank!“
“Ariana and Sarkis were so helpful and accommodating. The food was prepared very quickly . We ordered the cauliflower bites with medium spice, chicken tenders with mild spice, and the two slider combo. If you are a vegan and love hot ? "chicken" the cauliflower is ? ? amazing, too!“
“If you want to see what real hot chicken should taste like then you should stop by and try this place out. The brine is done so perfectly that the chicken just falls apart. The seasonings they use taste amazing. I never get tired of this place from the chicken to the fries to the sauce everything is amazing! The service is always top notch and the inside is actually clean and tidy so you can sit down and enjoy your food!“
“We couldn’t find parking to drop off package at UPS store so we parked behind the store and discovered this restaurant. Food is delicious and service has been great. Normally we would eat at Panda but now we are supporting this small business.“
“Great place for a fried chicken sandwich. I always take it to go, but there is outside (covered) seating if you want to eat there. Their menu is posted on the main window, which is really convenient, but I would REALLY like to be able to see the cashier - they have to stoop to see out, making it awkward for both of us.“
“Comparing this one to the one on Pico/Crenshaw, parking is much much easier and closer to the freeway. The chicken indeed seemed a ted less spicy hot but all the favors are there. (Went to Crenshaw 2 days later and clearly able to compare) As usual, ordered the biggest 20 piece dinning in and it was hot and juicy, especially the breast. Busy on the chicken left the fries cold but still nothing left to take home. The chicken was fresh from the frier as one was bubbling on the table. Teared up one of the breast and juice immediately drip onto the plate. I wore eating clothes every time I go to GUS to refrain from having ruined clothes to regret later. They gave me forks every time but I had never used them. Go wash hands and get dirty!“
“I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before...but it is one of my favorite fried chicken places in LA. The fried chicken is absolutely in my top 5. The chicken is the star here--forget about everything else except maybe the gizzards--the chicken is why you come to Dinah's. Having said that prices have really increased here like a lot of other places these days. In four short years, the two piece lunch has gone from $7.65 to $13.60. I don't know about you but that seems a lot higher than the current inflation rate. Not picking on Dinah's, but just making a point.“
“Awesome place. Parking is a problem. Food was very affordable and quality. Good size portions. Service was good. Food was delicious, and perfectly made. I got the number 3. With hot and medium, that’s the perfect balance. Come check it out.“
“Been coming here since I was a teenager and the food has always been good and exceeded my expectations. If you get the plates you will end up with more food than if you get the wraps. The only negative part about this place is the parking. Many different stores in this place and not enough parking spaces. There are one or two handicapped spots too which are always full so try to find a spot even if it’s further away from the store.“
“You guys are awsome. Stela and the cashier were awesome tonight. We came in almost at close and they were super nice and even cooked fresh food for us. We came from far and barely made it but they made our dinner and night perfect. You need more like your crew you had tonight. Starting from management all the way to your cook. Had the best smile and ready to make the food even if it was time for them to almost go home.“
“If you’re looking for one of the best chicken eateries in LA, look no further. Rockbird offers chicken that once you’ve tried, it won’t be enough even though it’s massive. The chicken is moist and juicy. The flavor is savoring. Start with the chicken tenders and work your way through the menu. You wont be disappointed“
“Chicken Day is my favorite fried chicken spot - I've been going for over a decade now having tried the best chicken in NYC, Nashville, and of course, LA and this is THE spot. So underrated. The original fried chicken is my favorite go-to with the sauce and extra radish but honestly, the entire menu is great - you can't go wrong.Parking: In a plaza, there's always a lot of spots. If not, you can just park in the streets, there are no meters so you never have to pay.“
“Flavor. It’s one of those places you go for an easy delicious meal. No bathroom, no amenities; only incredibly authentic Nashville chicken. Humble family owned business. Their daughter has been there with them since she was 2. They came from Armenia to America to follow the dream. Seems they have accomplished it. With another store, actually brick and mortar restaurant and a third undisclosed location coming to LA plus both restaurants have 5 stars. Come on. The best.Kid-friendliness: Kids love chicken tenders.“
“Honestly, Zanku has always been og. They’ve been a staple before any of the other Armenian/Mediterranean joints….this location has been around a long time. The last time I had them their chicken was very dry, it was so bad it took a couple of years for me to come back to this location. I was in the mood for a Lule Kabob so got the #16 combo (chicken and Beef) and the Falafel special which came w 2 falafel, lettuce and tahini (peep the pic) If you are a light eater (like myself) this is enough for 2 portions! The customer service was very good, the place was very busy on a Sunday around 2pm. Small rice portions and I wanted the pickled radish but was given the cucumber salad instead. (only get the radish with chicken) missing star*“
“I ordered takeout from them, I thought the chicken tenders were really good. The fries were mostly soggy, but my major complaint is their Texas toast. It is only a side item, but this is most certainly not Texas toast. Texas toast is supposed to be not only toasted, but buttered on both sides with garlic and herbs. It was literally just a piece of bread that definitely wasn’t toasted. Don’t list something on your menu as Texas toast when it’s really just a piece of bread. Part of me wants to give them lower than four stars so they definitely see this and fix the mistake, or maybe last night was just an anomaly and they do actually sell Texas toast the way it’s supposed to be made. Either way, all I got was a thick piece of bread that wasn’t toasted and had zero butter on it.“
“You cant go wrong with the food here, the half chicken by the way my favorite os just the best. Such a big good portion that comes. Place is very nice, so is the parkings outside. Only drawback is just lately eating out has gotten so expensive and this is not only in Zankou, this is all over in Cali.“
“I've been to Holdaak years ago in OC & didn't realize they had LA locations until now. Since it had been awhile I couldn't remember what I ordered & was leaning towards the Seoul Spicy but glad I asked the cashier for their input. He ended up giving me a sample & so glad, bc it was too spicy for my liking & I know I wouldn't have enjoyed the sandwich as much. I ended up going with the Original Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw & Pickles & it was perfect. Sandwich & service was great! Will be back again for my fried chicken fix as today.“
“I always think Dave's is consistent but I give it four stars because the service isn't always the best and the portion sizes aren't as large as other places. I do love the pickles and the sauce offered along with honey. Always appreciate the consistent hours and delivery of food though!“
“This place was amazing. The chicken was on point. They also do Carne Asada with amazing flavor. Beans and rice come as sides with the family meal and was perfect. We normally went to Pops chicken in North Hollywood but they always close early and it’s super frustrating when you want to eat after 5:30 PM.This will be our new go to place since they’re open late and their chicken is just as good if not better than other places we’ve been.“
“Stopped by the other day to get some food ! The tritip and the hot chicken .. let me tel you it was delicious! The fries were warm and on point loved the potatoe salad amd pink sauce!! Very professional and nice presentation! Coming back today!! :)) thank youuu“
“Not just spicy but fresh and crisp made-to-order hot chicken and wings. I normally don’t dip but their house sauce was an irresistible compliment to the chicken. Cole slaw was simple and snappy which balanced the intensity of the other flavors. Portions are generous. Personable staff. Definitely will be returning.“
“I love the chicken and Ube Pie here at JOLLIBEE....I ordered 3 pieces of chicken w 2 sides and a drink. However I asked for the adobo rice. The cashier failed to tell me that is was an upgrade, so she just charged me anyways.... There is no where indicated what sides I can get on the JOLLIBEE display menu.SO WHEN I GOT MY ORDER....they gave me 3 steak burgers with gravy and mushrooms, you can see from the pictures below.I am very dissapointed and unsatisfied with their communication and level of service. I was so hungry I didn’t make a big deal and just eat my food....JOLLIBEE has great chicken but service was bad at this location.“
“Searching for something good to say about my experience at Los Pollo Sabrosos, I think it's safe to say that it made me appreciate El taco and El Pollo Loco a lot more. If you enjoy tastelessness, overpriced chicken burritos, you're gonna love this gem. And from the few pieces of chicken that I found in each bite, I feel like at some point there would be a flavor or texture I could embrace. Sometimes a salsa could be a game changer. But not in this case, as the salsa was even more bland and tasteless than the chicken burrito. so there's no need to worry about spicy food here, you will love it. I'm not sure if it's my imagination or if it was really there, but occasionally I would get a hint of char taste from the barbecue. The most redeeming quality of the plate is the small, 2 tablespoons of salad, or seasoned lettuce with some tomatoes and onions. That's if that's what you want to call it. I also had 3 chip pieces which weren't so bad. Oh, the effort to pick 3 broken chips from the bag and toss them into the container is admirable. Such an attention to detail and 3 is a lucky number. The roasted jalapeño, which makes me not take for granted a roasted jalapeño anymore either. It tased like a roasted jalapeño and I was pleasantly surprised. I would consider it a skill to be able to produce such a bland tasting, texture cringing, morsel. Not on the menu and no price: chicken burrito Chicken tacos Chicken fajitas Tri tip plate Chicken quesadilla My burrito was 12.58 after tax I'm very fortunate to get a chance to come and try the chicken here. It gives me a new baseline for grilled chicken. It was pollo Sonora, and google shows the new name and old pictures and reviews, don't be fooled. I'd give it one star, but at this point, I really doubt they're gonna be around much longer after I even post this. Unless there's some amazing restaurant rescue.“
“Loved everything but the price! We ate at the Jolibee in Delano. Our food was fresh and delicious. Nice and hot. Husband got 6 piece chicken with gravy. I had chicken sandwich and small spaghetti. And of course we had 2 peach-mango pies. Those pies are addictive..lol Any way I would definitely recommend eating there. The price was $34.74 for the above mentioned food items.“
“Wow, I discovered this place by accident cuz I had the intention of dining in a nearby restaurant but it was closed. Since I was already very hungry, I decided to give this place a try and I was glad I did. Definitely a hole in the wall in this part of NoHo, this place has minimal decorations and a few tables and chairs for dining customers. I ordered three tacos, asada, pollo and pastor. I loved each one of them. Definitely tasted very authentic, I thought for a second I was in Mexico. I'm hoping to drop by again soon cuz I want to try the charbroiled chicken which looks like is the specialty here.“
“Started going to the original spot in Tujunga before this one was opened. Used to eat here regularly when I lived across the street. The food is still good but you don't get the same options as before and the last few times they didn't have what I wanted. Prices have jumped (a lot) and this started before "inflation". Although I checked the website for the prices when I arrived everything was more expensive. When I brought this to their attention they said the website wasn't updated. How is that my fault? Lastly the main thing that bothers me is they charge a credit card fee, and a high one at that. Recently I put in a large order for myself and some family and forgot about the credit card fee. Barley had enough cash on me. Tip: order online and pay by card. And tell them to remove the credit card fee.“
“Coming from a Mexican culture our food brings family's together through its bold and spicy flavors. Food to us needs to be all about flavor and let's not forget that our food is not complete unless accompanied by a spicy salsa and tortillas! I've passed through this place numerous of times and never had the time to stop in. Well today I'm glad I was lazy to cook and remembered about El Pollo Pio Pio. Their chicken has nothing on El Pollo Loco nor Sevans Chicken. Its full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I purchased the family special that consists of 2 whole chickens, 4 sides (rice, beans & coleslaw), HANDMADE tortillas and a salsa! Ok so for all this it was less than you would pay at any other places. I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this one was delish, their salsa was a little salty for my liking but definitely had all the flavors going. The rice and beans were also great in flavor. Overall I would rate this place a 9 out of 10. I think if they added avocado to their family special it would be all so much tasty and a 10 from me! But then again I love avocado with everything ? if you haven't already tried this place its a definite must. I will definitely be coming back!“
