La Piazza used to be what we considered the best Italian restaurant in Tulare County. We are sad to say that under new ownership the food quality and service has gone down dramatically. There was a time when we said their gnocchi was some of the best in California. No more. They are clearly cutting corners. The service was nothing to brag about. Too many bad things to list. The atmosphere was drab, no music, no liveliness. Oh, and the bill was astronomical. No alcohol and only three plates with two house salad and a soup was $154! Absolutely not worth it. I will go to Fresno next time I want good Italian food.

Server was attentive and had great insights on the menu offerings. Enjoyed his wine suggestions as well as the entree, clam linguine! We were celebrating a birthday and so they brought a complimentary dessert which was equally delicious. Highly recommend!

We got the wine room and the ambience and service was amazing. With the door close it felt we were in our own world!

Charcuterie was very basic with cheap cold cuts like mortadella and prosciutto ( not Parma) The risotto was watery, and salt was missing. I came to Solare the first time many years ago and I feel like the quality went down a lot. The sane risotto back then was cooked perfectly.

Great wine and food menu, excellent service and ambiance. Great place to go for a lovely Italian dinner!

The food was very good. Nice wine selection. It's cute inside and the service was excellent. Just too noisy to talk in a normal voice and ended up with a sore throat from talking so loud.

The food is wonderful and the Wine Room is very special. Combined with great service, you can't beat it.

Food and were service were excellent. Our only complaint is that is was extremely loud and we were unable to even hear each other to have a conversation. Was it just this one night, or just bad acoustics?

I've been to Solare several times now. The food is always good and I would recommend. That said, it's been a year since I've visited and this time, unfortunately, the portions were smaller. The salads were barely enough for one, let alone to share. They were still delicious though. Our only true negative experience was our server and the length of time to get our food (two salads and two pizzas). Our server was polite and kind, yet very inattentive. And while we always appreciate a good conversation during our meal, our experience for four people took over two hours and we still had to track someone down to take our payment in the end. Overall I'd recommend but proceed knowing you may need to be patient.

We always enjoy a fabulous meal at Solare'. Our server, as usual, was great. Very helpful with the menu and recommendations. It was a very busy night in Liberty Station, and also a Friday night. We happened to be seated next to a very loud table of 2, and a very loud table of 8. Sometimes that happens, but won't keep us away. Another great meal. Thank you.

We were seated right away, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere was perfect — not too loud — so we were actually able to enjoy a great conversation. Everyone at our table ordered something different (fish, pizza, chicken, steak, and pasta), and every single dish was delicious. The tiramisu was hands down the best I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!

Always an excellent experience. Pasta is fresh and delicious. The fried shrimp, calamari and vegetables appetizer was very tasty and generous.

The food was good. The drinks were good. Ambiance, Value, Location were good. Unfortunately, the Service was lacking. We were going to a show at the theatre next door and our food took a long time to come. When it did, they consistently made a mistake on who ordered what. Our server seemed exhausted and like he was ‘over it'. It also happened to be my wife's birthday. We were never greeted an acknowledgment of her birthday, by anyone, until the end when our server said in a rush, ‘the birthday dessert comes'. But, at that point we were about to be late for our show and it wasn't a sincere acknowledgement. They were nice enough to pack the desserts. Honestly, it was a decent night. But, for a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, I was hoping for more. Especially for a special occasion like a birthday.

We have eaten here hundreds of times. Never disappoints. The food is sooooo good. Service was ok. Think they may have been short one or two. John the bartender was a kick. Now that we don't live here anymore we just make sure to come every time we visit. Yes, it is that good.
