Great food at the restaurant and bakery. Highly recommend a homemade meal here. The grands love the farm animals and esp the train ride.

Delightful family owned farm with train, playground, Charlotte's Web themed animals you can feed ( bring quarters ) and delicious onsite restaurant and bakery. Perfect family outing

A bit off the beaten track but worth a visit. The actual store is surrounded by a landscape in active use. The options in the store/restaurant are attractive. The takeaway pies to bake are decent.

This is the best place to go for natural food and delicious treats! All products are made in house from organic, fresh farm grown fruits. Also, The price is right.

We love stopping by when we are in the area. This time we went earlier (~11 am) and the bakery was already half gone. We picked up an apple pie, several cookies, a tri-berry jam. The animal farm had some piglets and baby goats this time.

We stopped for lunch and was able to get a table for 6 outside. Service was slow because they were busy. We shared a club sandwich, chicken parmesan sandwich (daily special), kid’s cheeseburger, and cider. Food was generous and tasty.

I dont usually write 1 star reviews.
I’ll start with what was good.
Our server (Logan) was really friendly. They were short staffed so it was taking a bit longer for the order. We were fine with it. Our server helped with a few suggestions as well. Also he helped us get train tickets which they usually sell inside the bakery, saving us time.
The food was also good. We got the chicken sandwich, kids chicken tenders meal and the veggie sandwich. Everything was flavorful.
Now for the part that surprised me and took me off guard. We got the train tickets from our server and headed out to board the train. We sat ourselves down in one of the spaces. The conductor seemed very friendly, talking to two families while checking their tickets. Having a fun conversation with each of the kids. Asking their names, making jokes.
Then he came to us. My daughter extended her hand to give him the tickets. He didnt even acknowledge her. Just proceeded to lock our section for safety and without saying a word moved on to the next carriage where he immediately greeted them with a joyful smile.
Similar thing happened while getting off. He was really sweet with all the other kids and just ignored my kids completely while my daughter was thanking him.
I usually do not write about incidents like this when it happens to me. I brush it off and move on with my day. But this time it was with my daughter.
I’m surprised how someone can do something like this to a child.
I will not be coming back here.

We saw Cover’s advertised as a fun thing to do in the area so we headed over from Twain Harte.
We walked around the storefront and most of the bakery was bought up already but the kitchen was full of people baking and cooking up the next batches.
We decided to grab a bite, most of the tables were full but we didn’t have to wait. I got the Mexican mocha which was good, my boyfriend got the cold brew which he didn’t love. He got the pulled pork sandwich which was SO DELICIOUS, the special Cover’s sauce is very good and really made the sandwich. I had a BLTA, it was standard with very crisped toast.
I asked if they had any pies as I wanted a slice to go and I was very lucky that one had just come out of the oven! I got one and it was so good warmed up a day later.

Directions the driving directions from Lime rock Drive was the worst road. That needs to be re-done.

Never been but my brother brought a pumpkin pie from Cover’s and it was the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had. I can’t stop thinking about it. He said he waited in line for 30 minutes. Well worth it!
