“Great spot! I love a cup of quality coffee and their stuff is top-notch. I appreciate the fact it's organic, that they use very quality ingredients, and offer options to those with food intolerances/allergies.”
“My wife and I spent our 34year anniversary at Seven Sister's for dinner from a gift card our kids gave me for my birthday, and our waiter was Tim. It was fabulous and Tim was top notch. He is an excellent waiter and such a delightful personality. I think it had to have been our best experience ever at this restaurant. The food was the best ever and again the service couldn't have been any better. We can't wait until the next time we go there again and of course we hope we get Tim again as our waiter!!!Denny & Laurie”
“What a great visit for our first time to Black Oak. We stayed in the RV park and then came to the casino and the bowling alley for some fun. We were greeted by very helpful people most especially Hope I. The bowling alley who greeted us like long lost friends each time we came. Her fun. cheery attitude was infectious and we had a lot ofFun. Can't wait to be back!”
“Love this place! They have amazing in house made ice cream with so many amazing flavors! They also have a great selection of local products, clothes, and so much more!”
“Yiannis is by far the best restaurant in town. I’ve eaten here many times and always loved the food and the people. The family is extremely nice and welcoming and always creates a great atmosphere to dine in.”
“Hands down our favorite local breakfast spot--we try to get up there every weekend—I think we’ve managed to get up there every week for the last year except for two or three….and, of course, we’ll have an random special occasion weekday lunch there as well. This is one of the few places where it’s hard for me to decide what to get—usually, I find my favorite thing and then stick with that forever. At Pinecone, nearly everything is spectacular, which is great for variety’s sake, but it definitely complicates ordering. I went through a Chile Verde Omelette phase for about a year, spent a few months trying out new dishes each week, and am now stuck on the huevos rancheros—and I have a hard time believing I will ever want to order anything different from them again since this one is a masterpiece. I absolutely detest black beans—at least I thought i did—but, having learned that nearly everything Robin makes is wonderful, I decided to just order it as-is, no modifications (except sour cream, of course, because, really, why would anyone ever want to put anything in their mouth with a name like ’SOUR CREAM’???)—and I wasn’t disappointed. Meh, that’s not a strong enough statement: I was completely blown away that a breakfast food that doesn’t contain bacon could taste so amazing! And, I hate to admit it, but it’s that magical black bean puree that ties it all together (well, that and the fantastic Chile Verde that’s in there). I’ve even started ordering my other dishes with black bean sauce added. I don’t know what’s in there, but the stuff is fantastic. Other dishes that are amazing that may or may not be quite as amazing as the huevos rancheros or Chile Verde Omelette include the corned beef hash and eggs, the chicken fried steak, the Denver omelette, the breakfast burrito (with or without hashbrown in there), and, if it’s on the Specials List that day, I always love the chorizo and cheese filled bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers that come with a fantastic ensemble of bonuses (several eggs, my beloved black bean puree, country potatoes, toast…). I still wanna try the Italian Omellette and the Country Scramble and a few others….will get there eventually. I love these guys so much that I often can’t resist getting an extra lunch to eat later—even reheated, it’s still better than anything I can make. They have once again managed to make a very boring-sounding sandwich taste incredible—I mean, let’s admit it, it’s just really hard to make a grilled chicken breast sandwich have much flavor at all, but I very often end up getting Pinecone’s Dijon Chicken sandwich—perfectly cooked chicken topped with honey bacon, dijon, grilled red onions, and gouda on a french roll that’s not too crunchy and not too squishy. Strongly recommend getting both the zesty slaw and the french fries with this one—they do both of those shockingly well, that I add them to most any lunch items I order from them. In fact, I drove up there the other day just to get four orders of that slaw! Sometimes, ya just know what ya want…. Other lunch items I commonly end up walking out of there with include the blond reuben—somehow, it’s just as good as their corned beef reuben, which I absolutely love. Again, I have no idea how they manage to pack so much flavor in a meat that is about as boring as they come—but they do! My wife often gets the Brown Bear or the Prime Rib French Dip. Oh! And I almost forgot the burgers! I love most of them—as long as you order them pretty well done, so you get that wonderful charred smell, you really can’t go wrong. My go-to burgers are the Patty Melt, and the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger—the latter has pretty much everything you could want on a burger, no need to modify it. And the bacon! I don’t know where they get their bacon from but it seriously is one of the best bacons I’ve ever had—this definitely ain’t no cheapo Oscar Mayer bacon! Okay, I could go on and on but I think I’m about to break the word limit! Pinecone is good. Pinecone is wonderful. Pinecone will make you happy. Their prices are fair—especially with the cost of eggs an”
“we were heading back to San Francisco from Yosemite and were craving some good pizza. Two guys did not disappoint! we grew up in NY state where there is plenty of good pizza options but this place doesn't even compare. It's California style pizza, the dough and crust is probably the best I've ever had. I'm not sure how you can load it with toppings and still get it crispy... but somehow they do. what a special treat, so glad we found this place”
“We came into town from Houston Texas for a wedding this past weekend. We rented a Airbnb and it didn’t have coffee! We drove down to Twain and we’re glad we did. Awesome atmosphere, HIGHLY recommend the Bro-rrito SUPER FIRE, the vanilla latte was onnnnn point. Chatted with the owner as well and he was very welcoming and chill. All in all we went twice so that’ll say a lot. Cant wait to come out next year again and hit’em up!”
“Drove to groveland after reading reviews, glad we did, wife bought local eggs, I had a pastrami sandwich. Great staff and selection of meats (frozen and fresh). Left with a feeling of happy small town life.”
“Six stars. Food was fresh, fast and amazing. Beers on tap with variety and a family friendly atmosphere. Definitely a must visit when heading out of Yosemite. Chicken tacos and nachos a must!”
“I can't wait to come back! First time here. Drove from Modesto. The staff and service is great. Very attentive yet not intrusive. The Greek skillet was better than I could've imagined. No hot sauce needed. The pancake was equally delicious. 10 outta 10 can't wait to go again! Highly ”
“Stopped by here for a quick late lunch and to my surprise the owner is from El Salvador. What a neat connection! Food was great. I will definitely be coming back.”
“The owner of Indigeny offered me his band's cd, free of charge, at Ed's Cocktail Lounge. In each quiet moment in Tuolomne, locals support real locals. For real local cider, there is one selection: Indigeny Reserve. Sincerely, Your Fan, No Scam.”
“The burgers here are the best I've had! I tried the bourbon, hawaiian and southwestern and the all had me licking my fingers! I couldn't pick a favourite among all three, they all tie for best burger I've had! The prices are also very fair with all $13 being the highest except for the full rack of ribs which cost $28. In addition, the service was fast and friendly.I recommend this place ?✅”
“Quick stop on a day trip at this great place. Had a bacon Carmel sticky roll that was amazing with a Chai latte. Prices are good and well worth the stop. Sorry, no pictures because the roll was so tasty I forgot.”
“Best BBQ!! Live near Modesto, CA and we drive all the way up the hill just to have Stan's Que. Amazing, so soft and flavorful. It's truly the best. He has some homemade sides as well that are so good.”
“Awesome Vegetarian options available!Fettuccini Alfredo w/pesto sauce is FRESH homemade pasta (as is all of their pasta!).Also, the baked veggie sandwich; add avocado, is another amazing friendly vegetarian option here. The “whole” sandwich is easily three meals for me.End your meal with a cannoli, you won’t be disappointed with anything you order here!Dietary restrictions: Awesome Vegetarian options available!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly”
“This place was really fun and clean! It's fun place to have quick beer. They have great outdoor sitting especially if the outside is nice if you have pup. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone :)”
“My first experience here when it was brand new wasn't fantastic . Looking for food, saw good rating and 3 ribs for a reasonable price. When I got there and ordered 2, the owner offered the same price for 1/2 rack. Tasty with dry rub and sauce on the side. They have brocoli for dinner and made me a side for lunch .”
“Classic diner food in a friendly gas station vibe. Staff were super friendly and accommodating (we split a burger). They nailed the onion rings, chicken tenders, and French fries. Definitely have to overlook the gas station environment but kids loved it.”
“Great service! We showed up from out of town with a large family of about 25 of us. They worked diligently to get an area ready for all of us. They were so kind, so warm and welcoming to us. They were so genuine and it touched our family's hearts. It's not everyday that we receive that type of service. They were so kind about separating all the tabs we had too. We will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Garden burger was yummy”
“Definitely a gem. Love the wine flights. I enjoy learning about the wine. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. I loved the ricotta toast. Highly ”
“I've been going there since they opened. It's been five stars every time in every category. I've been reluctant to tell anybody I wanted to keep it a secret, but I highly recommend it. ??”
“We had a great dinner at the Charlotte of chicken and meatloaf and tacos and it was really wonderful and Finn is just a great host and he showed us some of the rooms that they have there in the hotel, which are just darling, really nice rooms well appointed bathrooms with each room , very very nice hotel and reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anybody who was coming up to Groveland for both food and rooms.”
“Always come in here before Roller hockey, and it's always been super friendly staff, a great interior with pool tables and new TVs. The prices are very reasonable and a great selection of draft beers and booze.”
“Nice practice range open to the public. Hit off the grass, but also enjoyed practice mats with overhead solar panel shade structure with comfy tables and chairs near a snack bar.”
“Great group of folks working there. Convienient location when driving into Twain Harte from either entrance. Stop by and pay a visit. You won't be disappointed.”
“My review of the City Hotel and What Cheer Saloon is FANTASTIC! The atmosphere takes you back to the gold rush days, and the food is as good as it gets. This is the Golden Ticket." The kobe beef burger with snake river candied bacon is next level. It's as good of a hamburger as you will eat anywhere!”
“Cool and Cozy Coffee joint. If you're looking for a pick me up, or a little refuge up or down from your drive, this is it. Authentic, organic, comfortable, good.”
“Great service I was expecting it to not be open because of the snow. It's wonderful to be able to go eat when most businesses are closed. The place is very clean and cute with many things to look at. The food was great and we had a wonderful server and overall a great time. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a restaurant to come with family and friends!”
