“We came into town from Houston Texas for a wedding this past weekend. We rented a Airbnb and it didn’t have coffee! We drove down to Twain and we’re glad we did. Awesome atmosphere, HIGHLY recommend the Bro-rrito SUPER FIRE, the vanilla latte was onnnnn point. Chatted with the owner as well and he was very welcoming and chill. All in all we went twice so that’ll say a lot. Cant wait to come out next year again and hit’em up!”

“Quick stop on a day trip at this great place. Had a bacon Carmel sticky roll that was amazing with a Chai latte. Prices are good and well worth the stop. Sorry, no pictures because the roll was so tasty I forgot.”

“We really love The Haps. It has an amazing variety of teas that we enjoy on our afternoon walks. The crepes are a great option for the “I don’t know, what do you want for lunch?” discussions too. They have sweet and savory and everything is freshly made. The croffles and bubble waffles are a treat too.Order ahead online and skip the line! Be sure to watch Facebook and Instagram for new menu items and specials as well! Their food photos will start a new craving every time! The Monte Cristo crepe is my favorite.”

“First time in Twain Harte and it was so peaceful and pretty. Before heading to our cabin, we stopped by Ed's and could not have stopped at a better bar. The bartender was so friendly and welcoming. He was very professional and made sure to attend to each customer in the order they came in which I respect. We ordered a shot of gin with sprite and a gin n' tonic. It came out to $8 and I couldn't believe it! I'm so use to high prices out in the Stockton Area and Bay Area. One thing to keep in mind is that they only take cash but they also have an ATM to use if needed.”

“I went into the bar as I was dining alone, and sat there for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged, the bartenders were busy but still had the time to serve the locals and visit with each other, not very welcoming. If my experience was only spent in the restaurant I'd absolutely give Eproson House five stars!I fortunately ended up in the restaurant side of the restaurant and was offered a table in front of the fireplace, a very nice option. The service in the restaurant was great. My dinner was awesome... French Onion Soup, NY Steak and Fries, and the Chambord Shake. “This place is awesome! Came here to eat while spending time with family at our annual family camping trip to Pinecrest. The breadsticks were delicious and the pizza was the best pizza we’ve had in awhile. Totally recommend. We will come back again. Kid-friendly with our 20 month old. Atmosphere is inviting.”

“Our waitress was so incredibly busy, but so incredibly kind. She was able to still quickly get our order for us, and with style too. I'd gotten the trashcan nachos, which came in this metal coffee can that she took off in front of us. The nachos were so good and we had a couple of friendly cats join us for our meal. Will gladly come back when in town again”

“Hands down our favorite local breakfast spot--we try to get up there every weekend—I think we’ve managed to get up there every week for the last year except for two or three….and, of course, we’ll have an random special occasion weekday lunch there as well. This is one of the few places where it’s hard for me to decide what to get—usually, I find my favorite thing and then stick with that forever. At Pinecone, nearly everything is spectacular, which is great for variety’s sake, but it definitely complicates ordering. I went through a Chile Verde Omelette phase for about a year, spent a few months trying out new dishes each week, and am now stuck on the huevos rancheros—and I have a hard time believing I will ever want to order anything different from them again since this one is a masterpiece. I absolutely detest black beans—at least I thought i did—but, having learned that nearly everything Robin makes is wonderful, I decided to just order it as-is, no modifications (except sour cream, of course, because, really, why would anyone ever want to put anything in their mouth with a name like ’SOUR CREAM’???)—and I wasn’t disappointed. Meh, that’s not a strong enough statement: I was completely blown away that a breakfast food that doesn’t contain bacon could taste so amazing! And, I hate to admit it, but it’s that magical black bean puree that ties it all together (well, that and the fantastic Chile Verde that’s in there). I’ve even started ordering my other dishes with black bean sauce added. I don’t know what’s in there, but the stuff is fantastic. Other dishes that are amazing that may or may not be quite as amazing as the huevos rancheros or Chile Verde Omelette include the corned beef hash and eggs, the chicken fried steak, the Denver omelette, the breakfast burrito (with or without hashbrown in there), and, if it’s on the Specials List that day, I always love the chorizo and cheese filled bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers that come with a fantastic ensemble of bonuses (several eggs, my beloved black bean puree, country potatoes, toast…). I still wanna try the Italian Omellette and the Country Scramble and a few others….will get there eventually. I love these guys so much that I often can’t resist getting an extra lunch to eat later—even reheated, it’s still better than anything I can make. They have once again managed to make a very boring-sounding sandwich taste incredible—I mean, let’s admit it, it’s just really hard to make a grilled chicken breast sandwich have much flavor at all, but I very often end up getting Pinecone’s Dijon Chicken sandwich—perfectly cooked chicken topped with honey bacon, dijon, grilled red onions, and gouda on a french roll that’s not too crunchy and not too squishy. Strongly recommend getting both the zesty slaw and the french fries with this one—they do both of those shockingly well, that I add them to most any lunch items I order from them. In fact, I drove up there the other day just to get four orders of that slaw! Sometimes, ya just know what ya want…. Other lunch items I commonly end up walking out of there with include the blond reuben—somehow, it’s just as good as their corned beef reuben, which I absolutely love. Again, I have no idea how they manage to pack so much flavor in a meat that is about as boring as they come—but they do! My wife often gets the Brown Bear or the Prime Rib French Dip. Oh! And I almost forgot the burgers! I love most of them—as long as you order them pretty well done, so you get that wonderful charred smell, you really can’t go wrong. My go-to burgers are the Patty Melt, and the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger—the latter has pretty much everything you could want on a burger, no need to modify it. And the bacon! I don’t know where they get their bacon from but it seriously is one of the best bacons I’ve ever had—this definitely ain’t no cheapo Oscar Mayer bacon! Okay, I could go on and on but I think I’m about to break the word limit! Pinecone is good. Pinecone is wonderful. Pinecone will make you happy. Their prices are fair—especially with the cost of eggs an”

“The burgers here are the best I've had! I tried the bourbon, hawaiian and southwestern and the all had me licking my fingers! I couldn't pick a favourite among all three, they all tie for best burger I've had! The prices are also very fair with all $13 being the highest except for the full rack of ribs which cost $28. “Great service I was expecting it to not be open because of the snow. It's wonderful to be able to go eat when most businesses are closed. The place is very clean and cute with many things to look at. The food was great and we had a wonderful server and overall a great time. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a restaurant to come with family and friends!”

They were so genuine and it touched our family's hearts. It's not everyday that we receive that type of service. They were so kind about separating all the tabs we had too. “My first experience here when it was brand new wasn't fantastic . Looking for food, saw good rating and 3 ribs for a reasonable price. When I got there and ordered 2, the owner offered the same price for 1/2 rack. Tasty with dry rub and sauce on the side. They have brocoli for dinner and made me a side for lunch .”

The staff is friendly and helpful and always polite. This is my family's go-to Mexican restaurant. Reasonably priced, fresh, delicious food.
