Great food and cold beer! The best burger and onion rings I've ever had! The owner and staff are awesome! Great local spot, definitely recommend trying!

Ate here a few times when I was a fire fighter. The food was pretty good, and according to some of the other firemen, the veteran waitress was really friendly.? ?

Grizzly Rock Cafe and Grill makes the best burgers and breakfast! The Deep Fried Mushroom appetizer is awesome!

Little hidden gem in Turlock. The foods great, prices are low and the environment in it self made the experience that much better.

Total greasy spoon place; if biscuits & gravy topped with scrambled eggs and bacon are your thing, you’re in luck. The food is actually good but keep in mind you’re in the outskirts of Turlock; if you want something remotely healthy your best bet is the oatmeal and maybe some fruit. Otherwise grab a protein bar and a banana at a nearby Walgreens.Very good service here; love the old timey diner setup.

First time eating at Grizzly Rock. Outside you would think was closed but it was indeed open. Our waiter and chef was super nice and can throw down in the kitchen. I had a pulled pork sandwich with fried mushrooms and onion rings. They were so good. Definitely going back again!

Might be the strangest restaurant I've ever been to. We stopped in on New Year's Day. It looked deserted, but I had called ahead to confirm they were open. The ambiance was interesting, sort of kitschy. I didn't mind that. The server was darling. She was pretty new to the job and was still trying to find her way. But she was trying. My husband and our friend enjoyed their choices: a giant, GIANT burrito and a Denver omelet. My chicken, however, was a different story. It wasn't delicious; it tasted like it wasn't fresh and then had been over-heated. I couldn't eat it. The veggies were good and the potatoes were great. So, a mixed bag. I think I'd try again and order something different. Everybody deserves a second chance.

This place is disgusting, I'm glad that I initially had to use the restroom. Because it was filthy. I mean literally feces on the back of the toilet seat filthy. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Aside from that it smells like raw sewage almost as soon as you walk in through the front door. My wife kept telling me how it reminded heard of that Scooby-Doo movie she kept calling it Zombie Island. Only crossed with the homeless camp.

I would classify this place as a dive, but the food was really good.

We visited on a cold December Wednesday evening while traveling through. They were not busy but super attentive and the food was fantastic! I got a garden burger which was the tastiest one I've ever had! My husband got the chicken dinner which was on the smallish side but he was satisfied. And thankfully, while we were there, 4 more parties is diners came in. This is a little gem...we'll go back to try the breakfast someday soon!

It’s a damn shame character doesn’t matter anymore. This place has a ton of character, very unique and great food and service. But people would rather stand in a parking lot waiting to get in Applebees.
