First time eating at Grizzly Rock. Outside you would think was closed but it was indeed open. Our waiter and chef was super nice and can throw down in the kitchen. I had a pulled pork sandwich with fried mushrooms and onion rings. They were so good. Definitely going back again!
Might be the strangest restaurant I've ever been to. We stopped in on New Year's Day. It looked deserted, but I had called ahead to confirm they were open. The ambiance was interesting, sort of kitschy. I didn't mind that. The server was darling. She was pretty new to the job and was still trying to find her way. But she was trying. Total greasy spoon place; if biscuits & gravy topped with scrambled eggs and bacon are your thing, you’re in luck. The food is actually good but keep in mind you’re in the outskirts of Turlock; if you want something remotely healthy your best bet is the oatmeal and maybe some fruit. Otherwise grab a protein bar and a banana at a nearby Walgreens.Very good service here; love the old timey diner setup.
