The golden state KFC. Ordered a bucket that was supposed to have 2 thighs, 2 breast, 2 drumstick, and 2 wings. Only one drumstick was there a broken apart wing there was no breast. The rest of it was thigh. Then when I went to call all I got was the busy tone.

The amount of condescending attitude from the employees working the evening shift is wild. I have been here many times and have never minded the wait as I understand things should be made fresh but that wasn’t the case here at all. The problem is the rude condescending attitude for literally no reason. Possibly, coming and getting food at 8pm? Im not sure honestly but it was very unnecessary and a bad look overall for the business. If you don’t want to work at a KFC on a Friday night then don’t! 🤷🏻♀️ Some personnel training would be very beneficial for the employees working the counter tonight.

1/2/2025 My family & I visited the KFC in Turlock. We were saddened to just find out the A&W KFC closed down as we had driven from Modesto to eat there so we went to the Golden State location. Our experience sadly was TERRIBLE! We waited about 20-25 minutes for our food. There was a customer sitting next to my family & I and let the workers know we were waiting for our food still (she said she was a regular and sometimes they forget) Okay, so about 10 minutes after the lady said something we finally get the food. Got 2 combos meals & a kids meal everything was COLD! Not one item we received was fresh, warm, or hot out the fryer. All just OLD COLD food! we start picking at it because my 6 year old is starving. I didn’t even want to go complain after we had just waited so long for our food, and I was so mad that I just spent $32 on trash! I ended up going up to the counter because my husband was missing his nuggets. The worker Patty (I heard someone call her name, that’s the only way I caught her name) did apologize & actually gave me a box of warm nuggets. I had asked her nicely for the receipt and she asks me “ It didn’t print out on the kiosk? I tell her No, it did not. It didn’t even give an option to print out. At the end of ordering all it said was “Email, Text, No Receipt” So no, I did not get a receipt. I ask if she can print it out on her computer because she is looking at my whole order on her screen & she tells me she can’t. I know she wasn’t being truthful & that’s because she probably didn’t want me to give them a bad review knowing I was asking for the receipt. As a former fast food worker I do indeed know you can print out a receipt on the main computer if someone ordered on the kiosk. Besides the whole food ordeal I didn’t understand also why they had so many people working & they’re all standing around talking & had other coworkers just hanging out in the parking lot when there dining area definitely could’ve used a mop and wipe down. I’ve reached out to the corporate office for a refund. Good customer service and hot food to order goes a long way. The way the prices are in this economy I think customers should be getting what they’re paying for! They should’ve kept the A&W KFC open & closed this location. The other location had great customer service & good food. I would give this location zero stars if I could.
Do not spend your money here! I don’t like to post reviews unless I have a really bad experience. However, I ordered the $5 tender box that is supposed to come with 2 sauces. Guess what I didn’t get?!?! ANY SAUCE!!! Not even one!!! How hard is it to include what I paid for?? I didn’t even ask for extra sauce, just wanted the ones that should have come with the meal.

This review is updated to 5stars from 1 star, manager prepared another order to replace the missing order, added an order for the inconvenience and added a mini-cake for the trouble, I’m grateful. The initial one star was due to an “Order placed with this location and delivered by DoorDash- Order short by one item when I ordered 4 and received 3 - the managers solution was “ come and get it”, now if I wasn’t disabled and if I did request delivery was because I can’t come down and paid for delivery. Bad service all around.”
