Decided to come here for a lunch takeout and was immediately greeted with a courteous smile. I ordered a half chicken katsu and half beef belly curry and it was delicious. Chicken katsu has a nice crunch and texture to it and the beef belly has a nice crisp and soft texture at the same time. I will definitely be back in the near future to their other dishes.

Curry DO is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in the entirety of SoCal. I love, love, love Japanese curry, and hadn’t found any places that quite lived up to what I grew up with, until I found Curry DO. The food here is now my gold standard by which I compare other restaurants’ curry to, and I would go every week if I could. I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve ordered so far, but I would definitely recommend the beef belly curry rice, gyoza, and matcha latte with honey cream.

Additionally, the service at Curry DO is excellent. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Vanessa in particular is wonderful to talk to and is fantastic at her job! It is always a pleasant surprise to see her.

All in all, Curry DO is amazing and I highly recommend any/all curry fans to check it out (there are also locations in Buena Park and Costa Mesa)!

This is easily the best Japanese style curry I've ever had in SoCal. It's not a perfect replica of true authentic Japanese food - to note, their eggs are made sunny side up instead of scrambled and they don't offer a beef steak style meat option but I think keeping the menu to a limited number of options helps them to refine what's actually available on the menu. That being said, their take on the curry is surprisingly good and the prices are in line with other restaurants these days. When I went, the place was surprisingly empty so I didn't have to wait. The vibes were pleasant and parking was easy to find. Highly recommend this place!

I got the katsu curry and did not regret it. The katsu was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the curry was rich, such a delicious and filling meal. I would definitely return if I came back to the area.

Cute little spot - small but mighty - lots of seating but I bet it could fill up fast. Music is a good level that you can have a conversation with your date. And friendly staff! We lucked out by finding a parking spot, but the lot is small so you may need to park around the side.

*We noticed that they have a Happy Hour, but we had just missed it by a couple of minutes - it ends at 6pm.

I ordered the curry bowl with rice and 2 proteins - pork belly and shrimp tempura plus egg - and my hubby tried the udon with the same 2 proteins pork belly and shrimp tempura plus egg. This was our first time having curry with udon. We're just used to having it with rice.

The presentation was really nice! The curry is kinda on the sweet side but they give you chili powder to spice it up, the pork belly was real tender but needed some spices or maybe could have been grilled a little to give it some flavor - and the egg was a nice addition. We were a little disappointed with the shrimp tempura - the batter was dense and chewy - I think I would pass on the shrimp tempura next time.

The curry with udon was tasty. It was more like a soup so the curry sauce was soupier - but it was really good. It would be a perfect dish for a chilly day!

And I can't forget to mention how tasty my beverage was. I had the sparkling yuzu white peach drink that was so tasty and refreshing! Try it, I think you'll really enjoy it!

Overall, it was a good visit! I would like to come back sometime to try the chicken katsu curry.

Curry_Do - A Flavorful Experience in Tustin!

I recently visited Curry_Do in Tustin, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere that sets the tone for the meal. The staff, Vanessa, was incredibly friendly and attentive, giving recommendations.

As for the food, it was amazing! The curry had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, with rich, aromatic sauce that tasted fresh and authentic. I ordered the shrimp tempura Curry, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion was generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste.

If you’re a fan of authentic curry or looking to try something new, Curry_Do is definitely worth a visit.

Probably the most disappointing curry I've ever had. Pork belly was dry, chicken katsu chewy instead of moist and the curry lacks flavor.

Pork belly was dry and not tasty. The chicken katsu was ok, the beef belly was ok, though a little bit salty. They also don't give that much udon. This place was edible but I wouldn't come back

I love the curry chicken. The strawberry milk is the bomb. Their menu is small but everything is tasty. My wife loves the pork belly curry.

Compared to coco ichibanya, it's less crowded. Portion size is bigger. You can adjust spice level with the pepper powder. Katsu was average but tempura was disappointing
