Great place! We did a la carte. Food was delicious; prices for most things were fair but the veggie portions were 4 thinly sliced zucchini, 4 of the smallest mushrooms I’ve seen, and 2 small shishito peppers for $8. Otherwise, service was very good, staff is super friendly, good atmosphere & nice music. Would go back. Happy hour prices are good for most options, some minimal discount.

I honestly like this location WAY more than the HB location. The manager usually ends up tending to my table and as a solo diner, I appreciate the space and attention he provides for me.
Overall, a solid choice for a lunch spot. I have consistently gotten the 3 item lunch special and have always left extremely full (with leftover rice). Beef toro is my favorite.

The service was amazing. I really think that everyone was super friendly and super nice and made me feel really comfortable. My son and I went tonight and had a great dinner. It was super yummy. I highly recommend the entire experience.

Been going to Gyu Kaku at Tustin many times and have always had great staff. Today, the first time I encountered the worst customer service of all time. I had my 2 kids with me and one of them does not like the food here. So we always pack his lunch when we go to Gyu Kaku. Today a person named Sally very rudely told us it is a code violation and you will cross contaminate food. I was like, okay give us a separate table. She said she cannot as AC only works in one area. She actually told us to leave. I asked to talk to the manager but she said she was the one. I wonder what kind of manager she is if she cannot manage a customer's need. If I had hired a manager who cannot manage a customer's need, loses a customer and cannot use common sense, I'd fire her right away. She is definitely not manager material. More like waiter for life. I will be filing a complaint with corporate as well for her handling of situation. We called the Huntington Beach branch and told them our need and they were happy to accommodate. So, in future we will be going to Huntington Beach instead which is actually bigger with better staff and sitting arrangements with separate cubicles.

If you want to wait for your food and have your server forget your orders, come here!! Ull even pay a heft price for their terrible service! This place is a joke they milk the time if you get 90 minute unlimited!!!

If I can, I will give 0 star for very bad service. Takes forever to wait for food. Asked waitress why it’s take so long, she told without any apologies:” we are super busy now”. Manager never show up. In Japan these ppl will be fired right away. This type of workers are ruined Japanese brand name! They charge $50 for basic meat. Go to Korean BBQ is cheaper, better. Don’t recommend this place.

I went and the food was okay but then I found 2 black hairs in my corn and it was disgusting I brought it up to the person helping and he said he was sorry and walked away.
