In case you’re looking for a different place for a quick lunch, I just picked up a toasted turkey sub from Italian Express on Irvine Blvd (between Newport and Holt) with a very good salad bar and soft drink - all for $11.50 plus tax.
Italian Express is one of my favorite local Italian pizza restaurants. Great local owners and friendly staff. Good seating area, easy parking, quick service.

Food is a good prices for the portion. They have no frills approach. Lots of cheese which is always a plus.We had the following:baked rigatoni - sauce is a little watery but that’s not really a complaint since it’s hard to have a thick sauce at a restaurant hahaChicken Parmesan - spaghetti needed a little more sauce but maybe we just missed a little. The chicken was yummy tho.Cheese sticks - I wondered why it was a little pricier for only 4 but they were delicious!White knight...
