Absolutely, the worst Thai food my wife and I have ever had. The food came out and the plates and cutlery stunk like filthy mop water. It was really gross. We'll never come here again. If I could give it less stars I would.

This place is awesome if you have a hankering for Thai food in the Pasadena area. The place is small with outside seating but the food is incredibly delicious and most of all the prices are very reasonable....The service was quick, the servers were friendly and provide you with menu recommendations. I recommend the green sole fish curry and the pork with sticky rice and the vegetable egg rolls! Thank you Nine & Nine!

The highlights were the prices - they were incredibly reasonable, especially for a prime location like Pasadena. It's refreshing to find a place that offers such great value for your money.Their Thai tea is $3.5 which is a price that I don't see quite often anymore! The crispy pork belly. The pork belly was cooked with a delectably crispy exterior and tender. The staff is also nice and was able to accommodate my substitution. Parking was challenging but I got a spot at the back of the restaurant.

Great Thai spot with authentic flavors. Had the coconut chicken soup-- extremely complex flavor profile. Pad See ew is spiced well. Serving sizes were both pretty good. Staff was very kind. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Side-street parking is also pretty easy.Would definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu!

This spot is pretty cute and quaint. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and I love when I have the option to pick if outside if the weather calls for it. The staff was very quick to seat us, take our order, and bring out our food. The pad see ew tasted very good. I got mine with chicken, and I will admit I do wish the chicken had a bit more flavor to it. There were also no spice options in the preparation of the food, only chili powder or sriracha after receiving the plate. The Thai tea was delicious.

Love this place for take out and sit in. Food is consistently the same and I've yet to be disappointed. The yellow curry, orange chicken, and Tom Ka Soup are so good. The staff is always friendly and kind, even when super busy which is alway.

Came here for lunch on the weekend. Every dish we ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was amazing. We were greeted with smiling staff members and they were very attentive and respectful. Ordered three dishes: - Thai toast: such a unique appetizer that I haven't seen before in other Thai restaurants. It's basically a crispy fried toast with a minced pork paste, served with their sweet and sour sauce. A great starter!- Pad Thai: a little more sweet and saucy than other pad thais I've had but I prefer it this way. It was very enjoyable! - Spicy catfish: if you love a flavorful spicy basil sauce, you will love this dish. The catfish filet was battered and fried then dressed with this umami spicy basil sauce thats full of depth and flavor. So good with steamed rice!! Parking: a little challenging to find street parking. There is a target across the street with a parking structure so you can park there and come here before or after your trip to target.

Good food, good service and amazing lunch specials. I had a cup of the Tom Yum Kai soup, which was large and delicious. If you're here for lunch, get the special: We had the Yellow Curry with steamed rice, two egg rolls and salad. A great deal for $9. I've also had the Steamed Chicken Dumplings and the Pad See Ew with Beef. Both were very tasty. The service is friendly and the food is always good. There are so many good restaurants to visit in Pasadena, and the Nine & Nine is definitely one of them.

Love this place!! It's my favorite Thai restaurant. Their busyness speaks for itself! I ordered to go and she told me it would be ready in 30min (but it really took 20). Parking on the street isn't hard to find. Prices are reasonable. But inside is very tiny (and outside seating). I have always ordered to-go. Their green curry is my favorite with chicken! It has a little spice but I can handle it. Their pad thai is really good and pad see ew. I have also had their eggplant basil and fried tofu and all delicious!!! I highly recommend this place!

TLDR: If you like eating liquid honey or drinking soy sauce, this is your go-to! Otherwise, save yourself the time and go elsewhere; this is quite possibly the WORST Thai food experience I've ever had.- - - - - -I saw Nine & Nine often on Postmates and ventured to try it one hungry afternoon. I admit I regret not checking Yelp reviews first... because this place took away my hunger in a few bites.I ordered the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Yellow Curry. All came in fairly nice portions, and I was excited to dig in. However, that's when my hunger began to go away:- Pad Thai: Extremely sweet, almost inedible. Imagine drinking liquid honey, because that's what it felt like. - Pad See Ew: This one's special - imagine drinking a bottle of soy sauce.- Yellow Curry: Didn't even bother trying this one; I'm scared. After a few bites of Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, I was no longer hungry. I'm sad I ordered enough for a week's worth a meals just to dump it all away. Overall, I would not recommend eating here. I ordered my food with mild spice and it wasn't even a hint of spice. I feel like customizations were a waste of time; do they even read the change? Now I'd understand a little more if it were rush hour, but this was 3:30pm in the afternoon...
