Food was delicious. It took them a bit of time to get it out due to graduations taking place nearby. Service was good. Clean place, clean bathroom. Parking was fairly easy to get. Getting out during traffic sucks. I had eggs Benedict with French toast. Eggs were perfect and the holandaise sauce was amazing. French toast was small but potent in flavor.

When is say the worst service its an understatement. Took some time to be served and orders taken. When the drinks were brought out no straws were given and was looking around for 5 min when i had to yell out for a waiter that wasn't our server to provide us some. My kids ordered shakes and were brought out after they had finished half their food. Had to get up and look for a manager for to go boxes. Then the cherry on top no pun intended but my 10 yr old daughter gets a red gumball and is excited to get a free rootbeer float but waited at the front desk for more than 5 min and at least 4 people looked at me but failed to assist us. I told her they dont want to attend to us and we had to leave. She was pretty sad and upset she didn't get her footwear float. 0/5 stars... wont be returning.
P.S. Didnt mention the bill was given to us in record time so we can get out of there because they were closing.
Fun and friendly joyful staff, really digging the old school 50’s theme restaurant. I have the seafood combo and burger reasonable price and good food.

If you're a fan of Americana diners, Ruby's is one of those. Ruby's started in O.C., and tries to bring back the nostalgia of yesteryear. It does this mostly successfully, but doesn't quite hit the nail on the head like some other diners do. Nevertheless, the food is solid fair and reasonably priced for the portions they serve. This Ruby's is clean and parking is abundant. Note, though, that to park here you need to be heading north (actually northeast) on Newport, as there is no left turn into the parking lot if you're south (southwest) bound.
