It's sushi in the desert, I don't know what I was thinking. Let's start with the positives: the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the portions were large. The food itself is not great. I got a red dragon roll which is supposed to be wrapped in spicy tuna which has a very strange texture. I would believe it if the menu said roe but I would still be questioning. The salmon on the outside of the oh my daddy roll also does not seem very fresh. I wouldn't not order again, but there are many other options that aren't sushi in the desert.Vegetarian options: Basic veggie sushi.

Spent hundreds of hours and dollars here eating sushi and drinking sake with the schoolhouse guys. Great food, great staff, loved Yamahana sushi, it was the silver lining of 29 palms. 10/10

I'm picky about my sushi, and these guys really do a great job. The flavors hit and the portions are above average.Vegetarian options: The vegans in our family enjoy the Ramen, seaweed salad, and the advacado rolls.

First time visiting. Went with friends and we all had different things. I like cooked sushi and I got the oh my daddy roll which was yummy. I also had their boba but I was very disappointed because they do not use the black tapioca. You have to go up to the cashier register to order and pay for your food & they will bring your order to your table. I will return and I recommend.

Ordered takeout, was ready for pickup extremely quickly. We got a salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and ramen. All were extremely lack luster and the sushi tasted old, especially the salmon and seaweed. Were gonna try it again as they have good reviews, we mightve caught them on a off day. Its sunday and easter. Apologies for forgetting to take pictures.

I moved to 29 Palms 6 years ago from Los Angeles and I have not had sushi this good. I absolutely love this place! My son (2) loves the gyozas, go figure lol! Highly recommended.

If I can leave 0 start i would do so. The worst sushi I have ever tried in my life. Fish was very old and no flavor. Tuna roll was disgusting I even not sure if it was tuna at all. Egg roll was over cooked. Salmon roll was made hot and the roll came cooked not even fresh. About dragon roll I even don’t want to speak.

I don't know what they're calling salmon sushi but it's not sushi grade salmon. It looks like a dyed whitefish. Doesn't taste or have the consistency of salmon. I ordered 2 salmon items so it was a complete waste of money. You have to prepay at the counter so I couldn't even send it back. Awful.
