Black Oak is a cute, modern, trendy coffee shop with delicious drinks and food, and comfy couches and chairs that invite you to stay for a while with friends or family to chat! The staff is friendly, and service is fast. It’s one of my favorite spots to hang out at for a quick breakfast. They open at 6 am which is perfect for early birds. Highly recommend!

I love this cafe! You can see they care about the details. I appreciate the variaty of coffee drinks, especially the seasonal ones. I tried homemade pumpkine spice latte and it was delicious, as was the breakfast sandwich and raspberry jam pastry. 🫶🏼✨

Stopped here while driving down 101. It was busy but spacious. Our drinks and pastries were served pretty quickly. Sat with my dog on the patio outside :) Got two drinks and two pastries for about $20.
What a local roaster / coffee shop should be! Great roasts, food selection, coffee, and customer service - if you're in Ukiah or passing through, stop in!

New favorite coffee place in Ukiah
🙂
This is hands-down the best coffee shop in town! They roast their own beans in-house, which you can truly taste in the quality and depth of their brews. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet, but the nitro cold brew is phenomenal—smooth with a rich hazelnut flavor and a clean finish. I especially appreciate that they serve it without ice, which keeps the flavor intact (unlike other places that water it down).
The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. I also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was $4—but honestly worth every penny. It was fresh, soft, and generously sized.
The shop itself has a welcoming, cozy vibe with plenty of indoor seating—perfect for conversation, studying, or working on a laptop (free Wi-Fi included). It’s also proudly a safe LGBTQ+ space, which makes it even more inviting and inclusive.
There’s also some outdoor seating for people-watching, and about seven parking spots in the lot plus street parking right out front, which is super convenient. My only gripe is that it can get a little messy. I wiped down my own table and there was food on the floor.
If you’re looking for great coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and good vibes, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
Great for dates, friends, or family.
Great coffee, a bit expensive but for a treat once in a while definitely worth it. Great white chocolate mochas and chai tea lattes. The waiting/seating area is super cute and great for a coffee or lunch date.
Pretty quick too, no drive through but it’s kinda nice to stop and walk in to break up the morning.

I am glad we stopped by on our way passing through town. I love good coffee and this one was a home run. Great pastries and I had the lavender oatmilk latte.
Had the Pandan latte and it was amazing. Equal to the one I had in Hawaii on the big island and I didn’t think that one could be topped.
Very clean establishment with wide variety of tea and coffee options. Iced coffee has very nice flavor. I wish they had more locations.
I purchased a deal online for 3 bags of beans & started this morning with Heartwood, which is quite tasty. The deal included Duomo & Black Bart. It was brewed in our new OXO 9-Cup Coffee Maker with an insulated stainless carafe, which I would also recommend. It kept the coffee steaming hot for well over an hour for my wife who gets up later than me. Looking forward to tasting the other flavors mentioned. Would highly recommend!
A lovely coffee shop that we had stopped by on our road trip. A real Mastercraft when it comes to specialty drinks and such a nice atmosphere! Wish I had one in my hometown!
