Although Black Oak Coffee offers a cozy ambiance and a delightful selection of coffee and tea, I've been disappointed by their lack of clarity regarding allergen information. Despite repeated inquiries about the presence of eggs in their pastries, the staff seems unable to provide accurate details. For someone with a severe egg allergy, this uncertainty is concerning.I hope management pays attention to this matter - it’s crucial for the staff to know for sure if the labels are accurate and to be able to answer such questions confidently in the future. I hope to see improvements in this area soon.

One of my favorite cappuccino places. Coffee is very good, their pastries and food are delicious. The parking is not enough and sometimes you have to park in the street which is undertaking huge construction. They need to create a couple of parking spots for quick in and out. But I have to say the lack of parking is a testament to too many satisfied customers!

Best coffee in town, period. The owner is very engaged and can be seen working behind the counter frequently; That this kind of engagement leads to excellence in a service business.

I used to love coming here before work but the atmosphere has gone downhill recently with the pig infestation. They also don’t park correctly because, well, they’re above the law I suppose.

Best coffee in town and from the awards on the wall best in the nation. Definitely a cool atmosphere with good music and creative coffee with homemade flavors. My favorites are the honey and lavender latte. The pastry's are delicious. The people are kind and helpful.

We go out of our way any time we are even remotely close to be sure we can stop and enjoy Black Oak. A fantastic mix of coffee drinks - always some fun specials- and a pastry case with good choices all the time. This trip was for a Peanut Butter Mocha and a Rosemary Nutella Mocha. What's great is no particular flavor overwhelms, each is a wonderful accent to a great cup of coffee. I am joining their membership club so I can have two different 12-oz bags of different roasted-on-premises coffee sent to my house

Tiny parking lot but worth the effort for delicious coffee - try their coffee drinks -- I had a delicious pistachio-sesame latte in December and a rosemary-almond latte last weekend. They also heap used coffee bean burlap sacks in a box by the door, free for the taking!

Picked up a nitro and cap on a Sunday morning. The shop ethically was nice and service was good. I think the nitro was solid while the cap was lacking in my opinion. The cap tasted bitter and the steamed milk didn't bring out the well rounded subtle sweetness I prefer in a solid cap.

Had a lavender latte which was good. It was busy and there was a line but plenty of seating inside. Did not try any food but the coffee was good.

DELICIOUS! This place is what you want if you're looking for a good cuppa and moody coffee house vibes. Pastries are tasty and drinks are full bodied & not too sweet. Giving it 4 stars because they only had one GF snack option. Celiacs want treats too and I gotta rep for my boo

I don't even really drink coffee, but if you love sweet treats, their mochas and lattes are killer. If I drink coffee, I usually add salt to cut the bitterness. They add salts to their drinks for balance... SUBLIME. Lavender latte: I get a little nervous about how strong the lavender is going to be in a drink or food (sometimes it's a little too astringent?), and I got a little nervous upon smelling this one, but it was perfect. Lightly sweetened, floral but not overpowering, medium-bodied frothy milk goodness topped with a sprinkle of salt. (I just had a sip of my partner's drink, but I would get this again.) Peanut butter mocha: Chocolate and peanut butter, what's not to love? It tastes exactly like a slightly thick, quality hot chocolate with a smooth and creamy/milky peanut butter, touch of coffee, topped with a sprinkle of salt. Borgia mocha: This was less sweet, just like the lavender, and wonderfully flavorful. Think of a concentrated orange zest, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, and of course with a sprinkle of salt for balance. The peanut butter was my favorite, but I would drink any of them again. I also tried their cheese and onion scone, as well as the blueberry scone. Superb! Crispy outside, soft and melt-in-your-mouth inside, almost doughy in a way that I prefer. And of course... with sprinkles of salt on the outside! Supreme! Would get either again depending on whether I'm feeling sweet or savory.
