This eatery in Ukiah had a few steps out of rhythm. The meats were not well-seasoned, and the dishes could use a little more spark. The burrito was bland, but the fajita didn’t skimp on the serving size. The dish lacked the boldness that makes fajitas shine. A little more spice could make a big difference. The free nachos were a definite bonus! Service was very warm, and the atmosphere had a casual charm that made the place inviting.
Eddie's is a wonderful comfort food place. Like every other restaurant in California, they are only offering take-away (or doordash) during our shelter-in-place interlude. They are being very careful to make sure that take-out customers do not overlap and contact is minimal. And, as always, the traditional Mexican cuisine was excellent. We are big fans of the chiles rellenos!! yum, yum. Thank you for being there for us.
I was stopping in Ukiah and had a hankering for Mexican food. This one was rated the highest in Ukiah. A small place downtown. No real ambiance - just a cafe. I got a quesadilla and carne asada taco which were OK. Chips were pretty blah. Salsa was watery but nicely spicy. Family members were talking over me to some friends at another table for about 5-10 minutes which I considered a bit rude but did not say anything. The server was friendly.
