Overall, food was ok, not great. Food didn't match menu description. Prosciutto and cheese app was supposed to have 2 cheeses and balsamic drizzle. Had no drizzle and 1 cheese. Oysters on the half had lots of shell pieces. Beets on roasted beet salad were not roasted and was missing pistachios. Braised leeks and zinfandel reduction were unbearably salty. Winter squash puree was bland and scallops were overcooked and some were broken. Hanger steak was a bit under cooked, but awesome flavor so I didn't mind! Service was great.
So disappointed. We had dinner at Hanger 39 shortly after they opened and it was not a good experience. The food was sub standard, the wait staff was clueless about what they were serving, and we waited about 45 min for simple foods ( burger, chicken Sandwich etc). We attempted again last week and although it's basic pub food, it was a bit better than our first visit, they still lacked detail and timeliness when it comes to service and a great customer experience. Today, we were shopping and thought, one more time. We ordered very simple foods, pizza and steak sandwich. I ordered a Pina colada and my friend ordered a beer. We sat for 15 minutes after our order was taken, just to have our server ( who was actually really good) tell us the bar tender was making sure they had the ingredients to make my drink. The bar tender was chatting with who I believe was the manager (both of which should have known better) instead of taking care of their customer in a timely manner then resuming their chat. It was another 15 minutes before we were served our drinks. The pizza I ordered had a tasteless crust, was served with so much thick, sticky, blue cheese spread it drown out all other flavors. The steak sandwich my friend ordered, was served with raw steak. And yes I mean raw steak, but my friend said he could fix it at home. This is a place, location, and prime opportunity that is going to waste. I'm very sorry to say, not worth the time or money.
We were on our way to Ferndale and decided to stop at Hangar39. This was our first time here and from the time we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Loved the ambiance. Our server, Jessica was super friendly, funny and she was on top of everything! We shared the tomahawk steak, truffle fries, steamed clams & creme brûlée for dessert. All dishes were delicious & fantastic! The bottle of wine we ordered, Seebass Old Vine Zin was outstanding! My husband and I really loved the steamed clam sauce and couldn’t stop eating it! Sooo good! If you get a chance to stop by here, go check them out! You won’t be disappointed!
Good food! Nice Steak and salad. Friendly staff, good service, all things considered we would go back!We went on a Saturday and found the place rather empty. Perhaps better marketing and advertising would be helpful as this location has changed hands frequently.Best of luck Hanger 39!
Very impressed! We had a delicious local green salad and the Blue Pig Pizza and loved both. Our server, Jessica was friendly and attentive and offered us samples of some of the many great local beers to help us decide! Marking this place to on our maps to make sure we come again when we visit Ukiah. .
Service was horrible , food was even worse. Took my 12 year old here for a celebration dinner .:.Bread was beyond salty and cold , baby back ribs were EXTREMELY OVER DONE AND PORKCHOP EXTREMELY OVERDONE AND TASTED LIKE STRAIGHT BROWN SUGAR . When we were about to leave the server said oh “we just finished the bread would you like some !?” We said sure because we were still starving due to the food being horrible so we thought hey they can’t mess up bread right !? … wrong the bread was cold (which we were confused by because she said the bread had just got done ) it was so salty and cold and gross we couldn’t finish it …the waitress was extremely rude I look at my daughter and she says mom can we go to McDonald’s… or the broiler (I said absolutely let’s go) pretty sad that we would rather have nasty McDonald’s over hanger 39 ..: if I could give 0 stars I would this place is horrible FOOD IS HORRIBLE !!! Service is horrible !!! It ruined the whole celebration vibe :/ MYSELF AND MY OTHER DAUGHTER LEFT STARVING AFTER WAITING 45 min for food that was not edible!CRUSH WAS MUCH BETTER AND EVEN CRUSH WASNT TOTALLY IMPRESSIVE , we need a good fancy nice dinner in Ukiah I had high hopes :/ $100 and the only one who left NOT hungry was my 3 year old that had noodles and red sauce which I could have made at home for $5 or less ! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We are headed to the broiler now !!! WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING ..
Terrible food, terrible service.. I do not like leaving bad reviews and never do it , but I had to for this place as it was horrible !!! Go to google all the 1 star reviews explain it all !!
This was my first time eating here. Right off the bat the host didn't notify us that he would be seating us. He just walked away with menus. We had no idea there was an expectation to follow till after he returned to get us. The girls that helped us that day were great, polite, waited on our indecisiveness, very patient and on top of serving. Once we ordered I got the spicy chicken pizza and my friend ordered a steak. His steak was alright and he seemed okay woth his meal. The pizzas sauce was gritty and thick in the slice I ate. And a pool of it oozed in its center. The dough had little flavor and while there definitely plenty of spices in the sauce the term "spicy" I thought would suggest heat, though there was none. They did remove the pizza from the order which I'm thankful for with the prices being high. I don't think I'll be eating here again, the girls really did save this review.
We went to another establishment that had a loud party so left. Decided to try Hanger 39. It was FABULOUS! The food was delicious. We ordered Carpaccio and local Greens. There was delicious wine. We had Steak that was so tender and amazing and a great burger. Dessert menu was yummy looking. We took home chocolate cake. The wait staff were all attentive and fun people and it was overall a delightful experience. Our new go to place. Highly recommend.
Jessica was our server. She was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the spinach salad, ceaser salad and Hanger steak. All were prepared to perfection. They made sure my allergies were addressed. Overall we loved this place. We feel the negative reviews are unfounded. This could be because they were so brand new. Give this place a chance you won't be disappointed.

The food is fantastic, the drinks are creative and delicious, and the staff is amazing! I was drawn in by their drink with edible pansies, and it didn't disappoint. For starters, they served fresh, homemade focaccia bread. I had an excellent, heaping salad of local greens. Their veggie wellington was spectacular as well! To top it all off, the desert was a modification of their typical offering made with Chambord and was very yummy! What sets Hangar 39 apart is their friendly, attentive staff. The restaurant is obviously gorgeous and the food was of great quality. The staff brought it all together, ensuring our water was never empty, advising on tasty drinks, and serving us with care.I loved eating here and hope to do so again soon!
Three of us order hamburgers and everyone said was delicious so where the fries! One person order pea soup said it tasted like can soup reason for 4 stars. Our waitress was great friendly and attentive! We didn’t wait very long for our meal. I would go back again!
Came here with my husband for a Saturday night date. I’m so frustrated we chose this place over ALL the other places we could have eaten, We had a reservation for 7:00, got there and seated by 6:50. From the moment we walked in, the hostess clearly didn’t know what was going on. The whole wait staff was unfriendly & unwelcoming. Took 15 minutes for someone to notice we where there and take our drink order. Sat there for 50 minutes, no bread no nothing. I asked if we could at least have some bread because I was starving (we go out to eat because we’re hungry right?) server tells us bread is being made (didn’t get any bread the entire time) 50 minutes after we sat down I get my salad. It’s a miserable excuse for a salad. My husbands entree and appetizer came out, octopus was undercooked, petrolesol was a ridiculously small cut. My chicken came out and it wasn’t at all described, the sauce was weird and the cuts where awkward.I told the server we didn’t like the food and we where upset at waiting so long. She speaks to the manager and he takes ONE glass of wine off our $103 tab, a complete slap in the face. Not only do I not recommend this place but we really miss crush. If I could post this without a star I would.
My wife and I just had valentines dinner here, nd the cost was 250$...barely any food. We had the tomahawk steak for 2..spoonful of mac n cheese. It had no flavor, it was dry,and overcooked . The potatoes ogratten were the same, and looked like a pile of mush. The service was good. Got a pear desert to go and got home to see it was a spoonful of foam with no sustenance or flavor. We're locals who know the building and want a quality restaurant in our area to support, but this is a joke. Get it together, and don't try to treat patrons like people who don't know good food. We hope you make changes to establish good food for you and you're locals.
